Just in case, for a budget of lower than RM3k, S42/S57 is still the best buy right?

If taken heat management, build quality (touchpad, keyboard) and after sales service, would you still prefer s42?provided you can find it, yes, value for gaming... |

If taken heat management, build quality (touchpad, keyboard) and after sales service, would you still prefer s42? On idle, its GPU runs around 6xC, while on gaming can reach 90-94C, which is still manageable, build quality wise, quite ok last time I inspect my friends one, the palm rest is made of aluminum, though not as solid as macbook pro. speaker is loud after sales, it might not be as good as Dell one, but still quite responsive in giving feedback through email, repair time, seems like 1-2 week+, iinm for more response, you can ask on benq thread, http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1314111/ |

I personally had an experience with S41. The Mobo was faulty and they changed it for me for free.
I sent it to the nearest service centre in Seremban and they completed the repair within 1 week. If you consider the fact that they nedd to send it to Penang for repairs and you can get the item back in 1 week, I'd say it was a great service. |

Isn't the heat going to shorten the lifespan of the GPU? build quality wise, quite ok last time I inspect my friends one, the palm rest is made of aluminum, though not as solid as macbook pro. speaker is loud after sales, it might not be as good as Dell one, but still quite responsive in giving feedback through email, repair time, seems like 1-2 week+, iinm for more response, you can ask on benq thread, http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1314111/ I had a Dell Inspiron 640M and they fixed mine within 3 days when it was faulty. They even fixed those minor issues. I was very happy with their service. If it takes one week for any company to fix a laptop, I would say it's way too long since for a student, a laptop is just too important. |

That GPU should be able to hold till 120C,
as long keeping it down 100C, should be fine... Well, you get what you pay for... Dell after sales is better but you pay more expensive |
