Try to increase the budget a bit more to say 4k.

Newer games like ME2 or BFBC2 have quite scary requirements.

No need to spend much money, just go with the budget that already have will do...most laptop will out-dated say like in 2 years time...maybe he can use the extra money for others thing, no tongue.gif...

An Alienware m15x is already RM6k sweat.gif...m11x maybe RM4k (least priced, can go up much more nod.gif)

IMO gaming on a 11.6" monitor is going to be one hell of a strain on your eyes. In short, I find the M11x an utterly ridiculous sales gimmick of sorts.

If it retails for RM3k and below, then I might have to reconsider... but I'm not keeping my hopes up.

Well, can't really say so, depends back to how the user take care of it and his/her luck.
But for sure, Dell's warranty is nice, but expensive.

Agree with Loki..yes, 4k (well maybe but seems like true) for a 11.6" laptop for gaming, well i got to say not all people would like it, no tongue.gif..because gamers prefer a much bigger screen when come to games rclxms.gif...hope the price will reduce as we can see it as a small Notebook with such power graphic nod.gif

1. Brand, as long as it has good after service and does not have a bad rep?
2. Budget, about 2.5k if possible.
3. Specs, im not sure bout this, but i would like one with good graphics and can play MMORPG games (PW,RO..) smoothly, no lags and stuff.
4. Size, about the regular laptop size, 14" 15"?

on a side note, i read through the forum and found this, Acer 4740G? is it good? hmm, currently im using BenQ S41, i love it and all. but my laptop has this problem of overheating and auto off when im playing games. so i have to get a new one sad.gif

Thanks in advance!

Well, one of best choice for 2.5k for now would be acer 4740G
unless you up to rm 2699, can get Asus A42JR/A52JR with ati hd5470, better value.
lower than that, asus k40ab/k50ab/lenovo g450

Well, with Asus you get automatic 2 years warranty while Acer need to topup a bit to extend the warranty...well, for me both are reliable nod.gif

Added on February 2, 2010, 2:39 pmI would recommend you to take Asus A42jr/52jr instead...like lee said, much better value than Acer 4740G nod.gif
