Hi,looking for a laptop with a budget of 2.5k.For some gaming and studying proposes.
So far i get a lot recommendation on acer 4740G.Just to ask any other specs recommendation cause i think i will get it at around April.Will the 4740G price somehow drop in April if i buy it now?

i just wan play DOTA n Low to medium Spec Gaming, surely not Crysis.

Eventually raise a bit more to 5k can get a lower end Alienware

IMO gaming on a 11.6" monitor is going to be one hell of a strain on your eyes. In short, I find the M11x an utterly ridiculous sales gimmick of sorts.

If it retails for RM3k and below, then I might have to reconsider... but I'm not keeping my hopes up.

Well, can't really say so, depends back to how the user take care of it and his/her luck.
But for sure, Dell's warranty is nice, but expensive.

ive heard that asus is more reliable than acer? is it true? i wouldnt mind adding another RM200 if its worth it.

btw, i tried googling specs for asus, couldnt find any in english. ><

dilemma here guys,
im torn between the
new macbook white rm3699
and
acer 5740G rm 2999

i do alot of photoshop, lightroom, elements work

reason for macbook white:
better build, multitouch, prefer the os, BETTER battery life!!, nice LED display and good UI,  and alot people say photographer all use mac

but acer offers a good deal,
core i5, nice gpu, 4gb, windows 7 which i dont mind trying out, more hdd capacity, more usb ports, bigger screen, cheaper

so what would you guys reccomend? any other models? my budget is 3 - 3.6k range. thanks

My requirement:
- a decent CPU (dual core above)
- 4gb RAM

Remark:
- I don't need an OS
- I don't mind a 20gb HDD if it's the cheapest
- Build-in crappy graphic processor will do
- Any sort of display will do as long as can see
- Any other lauzy spec will do
