When my bank gets the instruction from the lawyer to make the first drawdown, I understand that the bank will take up to 5 days before releasing the money. Then, I understand that the seller's bank is given up to 14 days to provide all the property title. (Am I right?)
I want to know during this process, who can I follow up with? I can't access to the seller's banker? I just have to wait and nothing that I can do?
And, when the seller's bank hands the documents, will it be straight to the bank's lawyer or will it go to the bank first? (my worry that - this will take up time)

seem like you in the process of buying..how is the feeling? excited? how much you save before look for property? you buy alone or joint with family member? sub-sale or developer? how is the experience of buying house like?
normally after everything signed, you only need to follow up with your lawyer.

When u kick them they will kick the bank side hence things will speed up a lil bit. You don't have to know what document is pending, you just need to know when is the exact date of handling over the keys to you. Whatever paper work let them sort it out.

I don't chase my lawyer, if it is given 14 days then I'll only check the status after 14 days.

Haiyah... i Kena the same problem... after the first draw down u have to keep chasing the lawyers.. for my case my lawyer was very prompt and fast when it comes to respond. But she dont chase the seller's lawyer. The seller's lawyer is an asswipe good for nothing smug. Thinks the world of himself, made it sound like my case is insignificant. Always late when it comes to paperwork.

I keep chase my lawyer, but I think they take it as "tell them right ear, come out left ear", they say they will call up the seller's lawyer, then next day I ask whether she call onot, then she say no.... On my side too, I have been contacting the seller's lawyer too....and yes, the seller's lawyer is unresponsive at times....she only responds when my lawyer is efficient, but when talking about her efficiency, then she will just ignore....

Remember to cc the letter to maybe local mp for slack of work attitude as well as cc copy to CEO and directors of the bank. This post has been edited by Tohsan: Jan 29 2010, 03:29 PM
