Yesterday night, i helped my mother sold her SE C905 to a guy who living in same town area with me.Before this, my mum was using the handphone all along the way and it performing well. Yesterday night during COD session, the guy checked everything for about 15mins. He is satisfied with it and he paid me and we went off.

But, this morning, 8am, i received his msg said that the phone screen was blank but he can receive call and receive sms.

i didn't give him any warranty as stated at my post..

so..should i responsible for it???
he is asking for refund OR bring the phone to repair..and we share the fees half half.

Well i would check the phone Condition out for myself first.
And if its really faulty a 50-50 share of the repair fee sounds pretty fair.

Well you never know when the hardware will fail. If you check the phone and it wasn't dropped and no signs of water stains then I believe it would be fair to take up half the cost of repair.

Else you can be the cold blooded seller and ignore him. The choice is in your hands.

when satisfaction has been taken into account at the first place,as if i were u,i wouldnt entertain him as he took his time checking the phone condition,if it was failed after the meeting or cash on delivery,i wouldnt take any responsibilities on it.we could accuse him for dropping the phone as well, there're too many probabiliites

just ignore the buyer, ask him to repair the phone himself. You did not give any personal warranty in the first place. I don't see why you need to waste time to check the phone again and share the repair cost.

u have every single right to ignore the buyer. the buyer and other people might say that u're irresponsible, conman, etc. But based from ur description, it's not ur fault at all. Who knows what the buyer did with the hp. He might even change the phone's LCD to another phone, and then he say the phone u sold was faulty. An educated person will support u if any problem comes up. Others might just bash and flame u... I would strongly suggest that u ignore the buyer. Repairing the LCD wont be cheap u know. smile.gif
