I have a budget Maximum RM2000 just for LCD.

this LCD is for

1) Photograph

and

2) Not for gaming.

The bigger the better *Obviously thumbup.gif * and must have a sharp + vibrant colour. Good CRT too big and bulky so the idea of getting a CRT is dropped.

I remember this type of LCD having IPS technology right?

Thanks.

and Regards,
Sakura

u can try NEC 2490WUXI http://www.necmalaysia.com.my/monitors/lcd2490wuxi.html
but its kinda out of ur budget.

We have plotted the results of the NEC 2490WUXi here against some of the other 22" - 26" monitors we have tested. As you can see, the 2490WUXi offered very good default accuracy of colours when compared with some of the other models, and once calibrated, it was the best we have seen.

source: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/nec_2490wuxi.htm
note: chart taken from U2410 review as comparison

n as always, the price is not pleasant compare to all the same line of monitor type. in the end i choose U2410 (yea i owned it n loving it biggrin.gif ) as it gave best color result n price ratio.

+1. If color accuracy is your thing, IPS panels are still the way to go.

I highly doubt any TN based monitor, no matter how expensive, can rival a IPS panel's performance.

P.S. Another happy U2410 user here. tongue.gif

I am pretty sure if you are dealing with 39 megapixels of image, 1080p isn't enough. Current is 1600 X 1200, but that monitor is somewhat...burnt

Added on January 27, 2010, 6:29 pmOh, so actually the graph, the smaller the value, the better it is? is currently using Spyder as calibrator. Thanks for all advices.

After all homework, I think I should go for U2410

Smasung also a good choice but it is using TN panel, which is not typically for professional.
U2410 using H-IPPS, 2709W using P-VA panel which is a lot better than TN

If DeltaE >3, the color displayed is significantly different from the theoretical one, meaning that the difference will be perceptible to the viewer.

If DeltaE <2, LaCie considers the calibration a success; there remains a slight difference, but it is barely undetectable.

If DeltaE < 1, the color fidelity is excellent.

I see, I think I can maximize my budget to get a 27" Ultrasharp. Heard from reviews in Dell website that they do not regret on getting 27" instead of the 24"
