Which type of debit card are you talking about because Public Bank has so many of them ? Tell us the exact name of the debit card you're holding so someone can guide you through.

guys,tumpang thread,normally how long it will take if we apply a debit card via on9?i sent the application form in december 2009 if not mistaken,and i received the id for my debit card recently(maybe for activation code)..i'm still waiting for my card...u guys have any idea??

pbebank online banking does not close shop after 12pm...not sure whether has the new maybank2u improved or not, they used to close for maintenance everyday once the clock strikes 12am...

public bank machines (cash deposit machine, cheque machine, etc.) by far still one of the most efficient ones i've used...it annoys me when the machine keeps on prompt u to re-insert the notes for recount....never really happened to me in pbb...

but in terms of interest rates in saving acct, don't think they're the best...for certain acct, u wont get saving interest rate at all below certain amount like 10k or something like that...

credit card sucks eventhough i've been using for years...hardly any promos or benefits...one thing for sure, their credit card call center's service is gooodd...don't really have to wait too long and i can even call them late at night...

Indeed. It is online 24/7 but certain transactions will be deactivated between 12am - 6am such as bill payments, fund transfer etc.

Maybank's site always goes offline between 12am - 1am. Same goes to CIMBclicks.



Only if they would install more ATM in the whole Malaysia as well as replace all the current ancient NCR ATM.

Anyway, i noticed they have indeed replaced some of their old NCR ATM with the new NCR SelfServ 22 Touchscreen ATM. Just hope they will install more such machines soon !



The interest rates for savings account offered by the BIG THREE (Maybank, CIMB Bank and Public Bank) are more or less the same. One has to go to the smaller banks such as RHB Bank and AmBank for better rates.

How you do that? U juz go to the personal sitting outside to call them to update for you?

If your age is below 18 u will under Wise account. Tat account is monthly basis interest given. Quite high interest given at my age.

If about 18 then is Plus account which annual interest rate given.

As I said earlier, I was advised by the customer service personnel no need to take number. Those personnels sit outisde the cashier counter.

public bank online don't have PAC request right?

No. It has. It's called TAC by Public Bank.

I was wondering what are the pre-requisite for me to apply the Visa Day2Day Debit card ? Previously I went over to one of the PBB outlet and to my surprise is they said my account is not eligible to apply one.

My account was something known as I-Syariah etc .. and it was opened approx. 4 to 5 years ago.
So is it by applying the PLUS Savings account will permit me to do so ?
Btw .. does applying this PLUS Savings account will be able to support my application for credit card as well ?

i believe yes. i apply visa debit card and open the plus savings account, and approve at the same time .

How you apply for Public Bank Day 2 Day card? Can it be done online?

I prefer walk in to the nearest PBB outlet ..
Everything can be done straight away and in a much safer and convenient approach ..

Public Bank Day2Day VISA debit card can only be applied inside the branch and they will issue one to you right away.

not yet for the card but.i only received the activation code i guess..it almost 2 months i hv been waiting..

it's better that you go to the nearest branch and ask for the status of the application..

usually they have 1-2 customer service counter on the entrance, quite convenient.

Then i guess the card you applied for is not the Day2Day VISA debit card because this particular card can't be applied online, as far as i know.
