would it be wise to switch to 64bit os after getting new rig to replace the current one?

i would say yes considering 64bit has been around for some time and, for myself, i desperately need more than 3.x-4gb ram. vram swappings are getting on my nerves.

it really comes down to your usage, do you use more than 3-4gb? if yes then 64bit may be a good choice
