I only saw 1 second after the challenge because my stream was lagging, and from what i saw,it looked like a typical lunge which 90% of the time is punished with a yellow.

In our situation, its a horrible, game ruining decision because it was only his first tackle and it was the first half!
Ref mustve been influenced by the fans or he's just a rubbish referee.

Just saw it.. red I think. He jump with both feet of the ground attacking the ball.. red really.

Yeah, ref been a bit shit.

We looked very good, like it was Villa who was playing with 10 men instead of us. Then Giggsy had to go off, and we lost that momentum and shape which was previously working very2 well. Can't believe how easy it was for us to pass it around and control the game..

its a 50/50 ball =.= , nani go for the ball not when Petrov was having the ball .....for me its just yellow. If Petrov was holding the ball when the two foot challange incident was taken then its a red card for me
nonetheless , ref was big sux today  nod.gif

Even if it was a 50/50 ball, with him throwing both his feet and whole body in the air like that, it was a clear red card. If he slide in, no problem, but he jumped at the ball.. with both feet off the ground. That's a potential leg breaker there. That's why they go harsh most of the time when that happens. Nani didn't meant it of course.. the ball was there to be won, unfortunately he did it the 'wrong' way, which was probably instinctive at the time.

QUOTE(alowie @ Feb 15 2010, 03:21 PM)
i believe vidic will move out from man utd by end of the season. I heard he had conflict with SAF, anyone knows fact about this? If it's true, then definitely he'll be kicked out (SAF is the only Boss there, no matter how important the player is hehe) Smalling buying reflects the intention of selling vidic i guess. Then he'll go to bernabeu, which has been one of MU's main money resources lately haha, always good pieces of business (beckham, nistelrooy, heinze, ronaldo)

evans development has been great, i think now he has great confidence and sufficient experiences, which will lead him to permanent partnership with ferdinand. Smalling? I don't have any idea. Yes true that SAF and his team oftenly found great talents, but talent alone is never enough rite? We can see cases of bellion, djemba-djemba, saha, etc. Just wish this one will be the great in the future one.

I'm happy at how MU developed even more a 'team' team this season, it leads to answer those nonsense judgement that MU would become weaker club after ronaldo's departure, epl facts&figures count hehe

We're still a one man team. What would we do without Rooney.. they find new ones every year.

Someone at the caf who follow La Liga news said the Spanish press are reporting the English press' news. So it's not them(real/Barca) who make he noise about Vida. Me thinks Vida's agent is fishing for a new contract, although seeing his age, we might want to cash in now and put our trust in Evans to step in along with Rio's and Brown's fitness. Smalling won't be a direct replacement though. Doubt he would feature that much seeing as he's not even getting regular games for Fulham. If Vida goes, we'll get someone else in unless the doctor who took care of Brown and Rio give us guarantee both of them won't be out for long when they get injured again. We should keep him for another season or two and then sell him off to Real..

Well, from what that guy/gal said, they just reported the English press news. It's not them who create the story. They just repeat the news. So this Vida thing is not like Ronaldo's love affair with them.

Added on February 16, 2010, 9:51 pmArsenal will go through.. unless they can't find the back of the net.

Chelsea should too unless Ancelotti somehow got scared of Mourinho. Inter side while is good and obviously king in their own yard ain't that special. They have a bunch of good-very good players, but nobody really stands out. Even when they had Ibracadabra they didn't do much in the CL. Chelsea should walk it..

As for us, seeing AC Milan's status ever since they won the CL, they are far down the pecking order even in Italy. If at the beginning of the season someone told me we would meet them at some stage in the CL, I would be pretty confident. But seeing where they are right now in the league, with Ronaldinho in some fine form a couple of weeks back, I'm not so sure now. There's still scars from our matches against them last time.. and it's still fresh in my mind now.

As long as our defenders are awake, and out midfield can hold it together and the front three can work their magic, we should win the tie, comfortably.. but you never know in the knockout stages. And they could be our bogey team, although a very good one. Please no 0-0 score. That would hurt my heart so bad for the 2nd leg.

Hope Scholes don't do anything rash... it's CL. He might get away in the EPL, but in the CL, one touch and the ref would show him the card(s).

Quite interesting. Park is actually playing near Pirlo in the centre with Fletcher patrolling down the left, but not as a winger.. LCM type.

We should put Fletcher somewhere in the middle where he can do his work. He's the invisible man right now.

If this goes on all night, my heart would explode. They find it all too easy to cut through us, while we are struggling on the other end.

I think ref got the wrong guy

It was not for the tackle, but rather Carrick took the ball in his stride away from the scene. A bit harsh IMO. Ambrosini kick the ball away earlier in the game but got nothing.
