Hello,
I am not sure who to highlight this to but I am very concerned with how sensitive documents are handled by property developers. I went to visit KOI Kinrara showroom today and after going through the showroom, the sales agent wrote down the details and prices on a piece of scrap paper. When I turned it over, I found out that it is actually half of someone's payslip. It had all the sensitive information such as full name, monthly salary, IC number, tax file number etc. I was shocked and told him that he shouldn't not be giving the paper to me but he brushed it aside and said it was ok. When I pressed on, he took it back and wrote on another paper. When I turned the other paper around, it was someone else's job offer letter! This salesman has been using people's payslip and offer letters and cutting them in half to be used as scrap paper. I am tremendously shocked and worried about the lack of respect for people's privacy. How can someone's documents be handled with such callous attitude? As much as I like that apartment, there is no way I am buying from this company at the risk of my personal information being thrown to the public.
I have emailed the star but I'm not sure what is the proper way of highlighting this issue. I'm also not sure what agency the salesman is from or if he is hired directly by the developer. Do you know who I can raise this to so that this never happens again? Thank you!
Use of P&C documents by KOI Kinrara agent
