haha, my friend 50mm looked something liek that, but not excately thou, but still, something like that, is it because the plastic inside cant hold it?

the 50mm can shoot and focus perfectly fine, just, he cannot shoot anything lower then 90degree... it will fall off again... (that's before he sold it... dunno the new owner got send it to fix or not...)

Gouki: You can still have one flash bounce from nearly the camera's position while having one other flash off-camera - you just need a flash bracket.

Note where the F42 is? That's where you can have the F58, beside your A200. The F42 goes off-camera.

im in need of very sharp lens for street photography...and because ive havent any experiance in it... any recomendation... and also not very expensive one just for learning
*
90% of sony lens ARE SHARP. its the matter of ur shooting style, and focusing accuracy. some user with F5.6 lens might never able to shoot successful to a experienced F2.8 user. wink.gif shoot more.

*
no point, buy ansmann (what brand is it? never heard of it, lazy google) and 3 months later, realized u SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT maha imedions! lol... if u think expensive, try tahan for another month (assuming u can save extra rm50 a month) and get the imedions. (or eneloop, they are 95% the same thing)

Wow .. i am so lucky, so now i saved Rm150 for the services charge and on top of that i can service my camera for FREE!!

w00t!

Now if only i can get my LCD replaced and get it back before CNY, i would be the happiest man on earth tongue.gif
*

Are you sure?
If it cost more can i query them about it?

I read someone paid RM195 for the LCD without the service charge on Alphanatics.
*
well, i am terrible to say, i lost the receipt(digged it for 30minute just now), but perhaps, albnok could be my witness, because i went paranoid when i broke my lcd, then went to sony midvalley, send in, fix it less then an hour, rm90 bill, and albnok was the first person i told. but then, time pass, maybe the price went up. but u are lucky the labor fees are FOC. else, i cant imagine the extra shipping fees that will cost you biggrin.gif

btw, i was thinking, out of the blue... since sony picked up Alpha series... why not come out a Omega series? (2 line of DSLR?)

then ppl will say, sony is the Alpha and Omega of DSLR? (sony is the beginning and the end of DSLR) LOL

btw, i realize something, the younger generation (born in 1990's) they seem to 'dont know' 'nikon or canon' they know sony, and they thought sony were DSLR for very very long time.... lol, it seem, sony might not win the hearts of diehard old man nikon and canon... perhaps it will win the hearts of the next generation tongue.gif (1990's were my sis and all her friends... we hang out and shoot a lot of photoes, thy love sony's picture)

SHOfrE3zE: Ah see. See you then!

Kul | Mo0: I am thinking of going to Steve McCurry's Photography Exhibition at Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia before that, maybe 3pm or so from Kuala Lumpur KTM. It's walking distance from Pasar Seni or Kuala Lumpur KTM station (kinda, but the walk there is very photogenic.)

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=islamic+arts...d=0CCIQpQY&sa=X

lugiamcg: The A450 won't be brought in Malaysia officially. However you can still ask at a Sony Style or a dealer (they can only bring it in, in bulk, like the A380/A500).

weixuan: Sweet! Though, the range is too darn short, ending at 16mm on APS-C. Also, not sure if it supports manual focus override though it has the old clunky AF/MF clutch.

Personally I would rather the 10-17mm F3.5-4.5 fisheye zoom for APS-C; now that's interesting!

forget about getting lens oversea. warranty issue is a big headache. unless u get cheaper by 30-40% off retail price(not street price), then only can reconsider.

those using older then a year camera(a300 era...), and might have plans to upgrade body (except those like achew, fred, willy, sig, cjlai tongue.gif) dont bother to grab new CF card, coz u might upgrade and A7xx might not be using CF anymore (maybe dual SD/MS slot like TX5?)... tongue.gif

aiyo, my heart itch from thinking how A7xx going to be... >.<

hazril, MAYBE... since the sony DSC TX5 using a single slot that support either ms or sd..., new type of slot... and i strongly believe, sony might use in in their alpha? perhaps CF + SD/MS slot? ^^;

Added on February 4, 2010, 11:46 pmlet say, IF, IF, A7xx is out, now, i have a choice of getting A7xx OR 70200G... which should i go first? only 1 choice... i hope no joker ask me get both (i get that a lot) lol

QUOTE(lanusb @ Feb 6 2010, 12:19 PM)
hi wanna ask about flahs diffuser, I am currently using a ciplak stofen....but wondering if other diffuser can come out better quality images?

i am not sure which to be a daily(almost) carry around diffuser....i like to take indoor shots of ppl/party groups, etc

the magee cup diffuser (lambency is it??) or the demb flip it?? I think I kinda like the magee cup diffuser type, but my friend say demb flip it is good too....but the thing look so canggih I don't know if i know how to operate it sad.gif ....wanna ask some bro comments here on diffusing...
*
like albnok like to say; the only thing i use is the built in bounce card. and, i would say it too, all i use, is the built in bounce card~!

getting good lighting is about how u shoot it, not exactly with what u shoot with. i go shooting with my friends(all sorts of brands), they have all those diffussers, demb la, bowl la, stofen la.... come back, they like my F58 45degree side shadow.

like what willy said: it just alter the how the flash comes out, most of the diffuser out there, are meant for diffuse the light only, with sacrifice something, the power, and distance. it take about 1-2stop more power to fire (takes up battery and longer recycle) and it wont go to distance, the best result distance of any diffuser i know, range from 1meter to 5/6 meter away, anything further, the lighting is suffering (unless u boost to iso1600)

braindead_fr3ak
: to further confuse u, lol.

stopping down is making the F-number bigger, we Increase the aperture (not decreasing)

linkinstreet : (and any other who wans to know) stopping down, 'increasing DoF', has nothing to do with getting ur photo sharper. stopping down itself, will lead to sweetspot (check out what albnok found, really informative, if u get what it means http://bokehtests.com/Site/About_Bokeh.html) sweetspot, give best sharpness. diff lens has diff sweet spot, some lens gave max sweetness at F6.3, some at F8, some at F4.

but afaik, primes usually by stepping down 2/3 stop would have already gives hell good of sharpness. (zoom F2.8, sharpness usually starts at F4, some F2.8 itself).

arren86: there are many 3rd party flash, but to sum up everything, "you get what u pay" there is more expensive 3rd party out there, like Metz which give a slightly more 'steady' shooting with 2 flash (one front for direct fill, one main head for bounce), more accurate TTL (yea, RM16xx for something similiar to F58). for the cheaper errr (i have no idea) they usually, wont give so much of any accurate TTL, missing WL function(hey rm600 might as well go for F42), no zooming head(*the cheaper ones) etc. as 99% of the people here will still suggest u, get sony's one, u wont regret.

prazole: judging from the exif.... hahaha, alright there is no exif... looking at the BG color, i think is a F2.8 lens, coz it's bright. perhaps a 70-200 F2.8? (alternatly, u can find any tele lens like 70210F4(beercan, rm800-1000) 55200(tele kitlens, rm500 2nd hand), etc etc

maxwell: look at the bokeh, it cant be STF tongue.gif too rough bokeh.

Seng_Kiat: the way i see it, it look perfect~~ (maybe ur monitor need calibration? the blue? from the sun (AWB turn it to tungsten, sun turn blue) make it look wierd? try fire it at WB5500k(or PP it to 5500k), or more PP away all the natural color to more retro.
