Oh yes, almost forgot. Does anybody got the KL Traffic app working in their Vivaz? I tried to download it from Ovi but it says it cannot download because I don't have a compatible phone.
Perhaps an external link of that app would be helpful because all I find is that it points back to Ovi.
Ok, replying to myself.
I found out a way to do it and fooling Ovi store to think that my phone is a Nokia 5800 by changing the user agent on the browser.
Chanced upon the Iphonesque app from the link below;
http://sonyericsson-vivaz.blogspot.com/201...eb-browser.htmlThanks to it, I now have the KLTraffic app on my phone. Not that it's a very useful app given the cameras being offline most of the time but indeed it's something I wanted to have on my Vivaz.

Guys, I just bought the Vivaz, cool phone!!
It is so light that I don't feel it in my shirt pocket, and nice camera too.
Yup, agreed. Coming from the K810, the phone feels very light and flat in the pocket.

u used R2EA021? how u update to that version?
what's the difference btwn R2EA023? anything obvious in that version?
Shouldn't the R2EA023 version be better than R2EA021?

not sure about SE lar...but it's definitely Sony Ericsson and not SOny Centre cause most Sony Centres are selling electronics like TVs and all that

If I'm not wrong, I saw people sending their SE phones in the Sony Centre located at Oval LG of 1 Utama new wing. I think they have a small service centre there at the back.

yours is AP set, Sony Ericson Center may charge you some fee for update FW.
using mirror to conduct 3G video call.

Why need to send to SE centre when you can download and update yourself? Back in the old days when I had the Ericsson T39, we had to go to the service centre simply because firmware updating could not be done from the web. Oh, you need special data cable too if I'm not wrong.

no prob... here we are...

im also new vivaz pro user n newbie for symbian fon too...

what can we do for you? i assume that u r asking for steps to upgrade firmware ya..
things u should know before updating your fon:-
1. backup your fon using PC Suite.
2. make sure your fon battery is charged to at least 50%
3. make sure u have a good internet connection
here are the steps :-
1. go to
SEUS download page2. download the file
3. install it on your computer
4. restart your machines (both computer and phone) -->for fon remove your battery and reinsert it. DO NOT turn it on..
5. plz make sure u have a good internet connection 1st before u proceed with the next step.
6. run SEUS on your computer and follow SEUS instructions and requirements.

Thanks buddy. I'm using the original Vivaz Pro. Sony Ericsson PC Companion says my phone is updated but downloading the SEUS app confirms that there is an updated firmware for the phone.
Originally the software shows the following;
PDA Software Version: 1232-0380_R2CA024
Phone Software Version: 1232-0559_R2C008
CDA Version: 1238-8946_R2A
SVN Version: 35
After updating, it shows the following;
PDA Software Version: 1232-0380_R2EA023
Phone Software Version: 1232-0559_R2D004
CDA Version: 1238-8946_R3A
SVN Version: 51
Everything went smoothly. Just that I needed to google around and install the SEMC USB Flash driver.
Haven't had the time to play around with the phone lately. Still learning and discovering what the phone can do.
Oh, the other thing I got with my Vivaz Pro is the MW600 Bluetooth. Nice and works flawlessly with the Vivaz.
