Shut down phone then take out battery then put battery back then press and hold the call button(green button on left) then without letting the call button go plug in the mini usb into ur phone(usb must be connected to ur pc and update service software running till ask u to plug in mini usb while holding call button) then hor keep holding the call button till the update software ask u to release call button(got text and graphic indicator 1) 1st time a bit longer but also won't be longer than 1 minute cos ur com need install some usb thingy. Normally is i plug in mini usb jack and almost imediately then update software ask me to release adi. Comfirm no need press so long 1. Hope it helps.....else bring to se service center ask them do

no hang but 1st time my window 7 auto install a "semc omsi module" on my com and then my phone can be detected by the update software and can continue update adi.

speaker for this phone is a bit low the volume....not sure bout the loudspeaker. for me i always use headphone and handfree so didn't test out the loudspeaker quality in noisy place.

btw vivaz owner should really try out the spb mobile shell 3.5 for symbian....really really make ur phone become very very nice looking and great functionality. Need some time to customize ur own layout thou but well worth the efford. fyi spb mobile shell is very popular with window mobile phone but juz recently release a symbian version only.

no u juz quit the program if u wanna switch back to normal vivaz ui.

i thought our phone comes with a facebook widget? anyway i use nimbuz or fringe to do my facebook thingy.

battery wise i didn't notice any big diff compare to normal ui but i expect it to be more battery hungry than normal ui, but as i said it didn't really bacome a obvious problem for me.

resource wise it use around 20mb ram to maintain it. i hav around 150mb ram left.

bout the camera memory low thingy....frankly i've nv encountered that problem ever on my vivaz, can share how it occur? cos i take around 20 picture also nv happen...same with video...even before firmware update.

spb mobile shell for me need 2-3 hours tinkering with it before can fully utilize it and know all it's beautiful feature ^^ my fav widget r the backlight control widget and the phone lock widget.

got a few bug i can share to avoid hang or crash when using spb widget the i'm aware of.
1)wireless manager widget don't change the icon to big else it will hang when u try to check wifi
2)task list widget don't set the maximum showed task to 8, it will cause program crash when switching portrait mode to landscape mode. use 7

other than spb widget i also find google reader widget quite nice ^^

i use jb taskman and ram blow to check ram la...and i think phone memory and ram diff cos phone memory i got 43mb left...my max ram is 256ram my max phone memory is 75mb

the weather juz type the city name the list very long dun browse...so far i type ipoh, penang, kl all got but dun hav cyberjaya and putrajaya zzz

my ram showed in ram blow program and jb taskman is consistent. ram blow show 157mb free memory and max free memory is 169mb....jb taskman system info show i hav 157mb ram out of total of 249mb. so my conclusion is we hav around 256mb ram on our phone and basic symbian os eat our ram until 170mb for us to use.

btw tried out ma po economy rice in puchong with garmin...thx stimix...dun think i'll find it on my own ^^

No problem for me so far as i dun slap my face on the screen that much. Even with normal non touch screen phone i dun glue my face to the phone when taking a call.

standard battery life imo...mine same with ur's....the real battery eater is the 2 hour of gps and 30min of cam...gps eat battery quite a lot. minus those 2 things and u should get another day of normal use.

wah....can record but cannot play?....try getting the video to computer and see can play? maybe file corrupted....nv happen before lo....maybe check ur memory card see got problem cos maybe video get corrupted due to bad memory card thingy...not sure la juz say say only? frankly i'm stun by ur problem

ur's a bit extreme le....maybe battery not ori or spoilt izit.

btw a few way to prolong ur battery is turn the screen brightness to minimum and set the network band to use only gsm. also make sure ur bluetooth or wifi or gps is off.

i got try describe the process in detail a few page back u can check it out...else i recommend go to se service center and ask them do for u...maybe can learn what we did wrong or find the problem. gl

our vivaz slow cos even when we got 720mhz processor we're running it at 202mhz according to jb taskman. i'm waiting for this phone to be hackable then install some mod like the kokoro mod for satio which tweak our processor to run at higher speed

higher processor speed = less battery vice versa(waste of hardware thou)

yes...it's free for vivaz and satio when i downloaded it from se. played it, impress with it's graphic for a phone game but frankly if i wanna play this type of game i would use my com or my xbox360. btw all those games i listed r for s60v5 touch screen games, if any navi key and button pop up juz turn it off in application setting.

processor speed i check with jbak taskman>tools>system info

jbak taskman is free and it's imo a good task manager replacement(a must for geek and tweeker)
but u need to hav ur own cert and key to sign it urself(bad news for some)

pmed....for those who prefer nice ui and less feature can consider handy taskman...but not free la.

btw i find alternate djvu 1.08 to be a very good pdf reader compare to the slow adobe acrobat reader le. juz that cannot open certain pdf files if ur using spb mobile shell. if dun use spb mobile shell then can read all pdf file i've tried. i'm shocking amaze by how incompetent adobe is....haiz

Depend on what u want lo. If s60v5 then this phone quite good cos of the design and hardware spec also the video and camera. The bad thing bout this phone is se support inferior to nokia for the symbian.The processor speed will increase when u use apps. 202mhz is during idle time...imo la. But frankly now iphone 4 very good ma or even android. Symbian s60v5 imo is a dying os....now peak la but replacement coming along around the corner

the s60v5 os currently for me is quite enough la....i hav everything i need or ever wanted for my phone to hav but that we lement because the grass is indeed a little greener on the other side. the possiblities for ios and android is good compare to symbian or even worse se symbian. a few apps i miss dearly is tunewiki and mobbler....but for me ok la cos casual music listener only. overall quite satisfied with s60v5, 1-2 year later most probably will switch to android os(currently android moving to fast with it's update...waiting for more stable version and better os upgrading method for android). symbian's problem is the developer certificate thingy is really killing the os. eg a guy write a program for dictionary for 7 language and want to publish them as english to french, english to german etc...then he will need to register for 49 apps which will cost like usd21k...on ios or android it's free...to sum it up if symbian doesn't do something bout it's dev and cert thingy even with symbian^3 or ^4 it won't be able to compete with android or ios

it's the only os on the market for almost a decade....of course huge market share. ios release not so huge impact cos iphone need to integrate with carrier so we see apple taking over US market only juz like blackberries os. But the arrival of android is another story.
