some successfully installed apps to share: HERE

DeviceInfo V2.00 - shows device details including:
* Graphical display for storage and RAM space
* Graphical display for battery status
* IMEI code
* WLAN Mac Address
* Phone model
* Firmware version
* Manufacturer
* Product type
* Bluetooth status
* Vibration status
* Autolock status
* Autolock timeout
* Screensaver timeout

Equalizer UI - an official SE equalizer app as built-in audio player doesn't have equalizer setting

Windows Live Messenger v6.10 - chinese version, the only one that i can find so far that works on this phone

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Secret Codes

Bring up the dial pad and type the following codes:

*#0000# = display software version

*#06# = display your phone's IMEI

*#2820# = display bluetooth address of your phone

*#62209526# = display WiFi MAC address

*#92702689# = display total call time

*#7370# = Hard reset your phone. This will erase ALL your data and bring back the default phone settings (like when you first got your phone new). Default lock code of the Satio is 0000

*#7780# = Soft reset your phone. Data like contacts, calendar and notes, are not removed. It will only reset the phone settings, such as profiles, themes and shortcuts.

To bring up the service menu, press red – green – red – red – green – red (call keys)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the service test option in the service menu is a very good find, can test all the hardware on the phone whether is working fine or not.
can also manually light up the camera LED from there. (temporary torch light)

there are some nice free apps (WorldMate, Snaptu, Nimbuzz) that can be downloaded using the PlayNow app in the phone
can use WLAN to download, save cost.

all these should be working on the Satio also.

Well almost similar to Nokia-lah..still testing.. but stopping at the junction, seems like abit jumpy & not as stable as my 5800...has yet to check the tracklog capability.

Cold start (i.e virgin startup) yesterday took me almost 5 min using AGPS..but still aceptable..thereafter switching off AGPS. acquisition about 10-15second.

Added on April 17, 2010, 8:14 amSymbian having less complicated languarge than winmo for sure faster than winmo even at lower processor speed. Thus symbian always using lower processor..even those N97, 5800 using only 400++Mhz. This Vivaz is using 720Mhz. For me the speed abit better than Nokia 5800 but u dun really feel it.

Suprisingly those free application available & given freely in ovi store is not really free or limited applications are free in Sony equivalent to ovi store in pay now :
http://www.playnow-arena.com/playnow5-web/...ew=home_section

Anyway you can use google for more freewares..I;m still hunting too..just got, levle touch, memory free, opera mobile10, sptv..Still looking for a workeable brighlight or phone torchlight (Still fail to find right now..haizz)..BTW, most of the Nokia5800,N97 & anything running on symbian S60R5 can be use..9But not all for eg..I dun think you can get nokia ovimaps installed without their own map loader!)

Anyway, since it's the same platform as N97, Nokia5800, you can refer to the existing Nokia 5800 user guide too..
