anyone know what's the response time and refresh rate for this Sony Bravia KLV-40BX400, planned to use it mainly for PC Gaming, FPS genre, hope it's quite fast and can provide smooth movement required to aim precisely at instant. Can't find any website mentioning these important infos at tech spec. also, does the lcd suffer from color banding ? I read 10 bit LCD panel should get rid of color banding, which is good, hope it's stuffed with 10 bit oledi. -edit- one more thing, how Bravia Engine 3 handles SD input such as Nintendo Wii ? can it eliminate jaggies well, or am I expecting too much lol This post has been edited by Zeld4: Feb 1 2010, 06:34 PM

is that a no ? i'm expecting too much then since it's a Sony lol, price really does matter so how about response time and refresh rate, that's the most important things I'd like to know before getting an LCD TV for PC gaming. Will my VGA Card recognize the refresh rate of the LCD TV if it has 100hz+ capability , because most monitors have 60hz oni

thanks for the info, i picked the wrong choice then , looking for a cheap lcd tv to replace my Dell 2407 wfp-hc, hoping 100hz can help smoothing things in fps games to help my aim other than bigger head to shoot on a bigger lcd size does anyone here using LCD TV for PC gaming ? what brand/type ?

@daijoubu : heh yea, agree with that, that's why I thought about buying an LCD TV, for both PC Display / TV related usages such as watching tv broadcasts/consoles, all in one big screen. The only problem is picking which one lol, I'll just read here and there to gather more info for inputs ^^ @aztechx : you can try comparing tv sizes here http://www.tvcalculator.com/ , scaled down of course, but you'll get the picture about how much bigger you'll get if you decide to finally upgrade.

how much is KLV-40BX400 in Malaysia ? cheapest I can find here in Indonesia is around RM2740. I've been comparing prices posted here in this forum for some brand/type to the same ones at my local online shops, it seems the prices here in Indo are quite high This post has been edited by Zeld4: Feb 3 2010, 01:22 AM

I think top model is V or W, BX is basic/entry level and categorized differently from S series on Sony website.

weird, it's cheaper here in ID for that model, even at Sony official website's MSRP, it's around RM2943 compared to Sony MY @ RM3299, but can get as low as RM2740 in street price. Too bad it doesn't apply to most 40-42 inchers with other brands please do post a review when you get your TV later, aztechx, wish u all the best for it , btw are you going to use it for PC too ?
