How flexible you want? You intend to sell (cash out) even though you're not in profit?

Sorry, I thought UT like FD with interest return, now i realized UT like share market calculate by unit price.

Besides, I plan to invest POGF, the latest fund. What you had on mind?

I'm one of the public mutual agent since 2008 but I'm not active in it and my FMUTM license had expired since 2009. May I ask can I renew my license since it had inactive for a long period.

Just to add,
There is 1.5% management fee, which is deducted out from the fund NAV/price.
*
When will this management fee charge?

Daily, but you will see the total charged in the annual report. The amount charged is usually quite substantial most of times equivalent to the dividend and interest received.  Usually 1.5% management and other charges like offices expense, trustees, printing, audit etc will bring the fees to about 1.8% - 2.0% of asset. There are other hidden charges such as transaction fees, soft commission, brokerage etc which can bring the fees up another 0.5% -1% depending on their turnover. laugh.gif

As the details shown below, beside the 5.5% charges, for example, I bought a fund on 1st JAN with initial amount RM1000, after 5.5% become RM945, let's say for the year the fund didn't gain any profit, the 1.56% (1.50% + 0.06%) will deduct my fund (RM945-1.56%) on 31st Dec every year?

Service Charge Up to 5.5% of NAV per unit
Repurchase Charge NIL
Annual Management Fee 1.5% per annum of the NAV
Annual Trustee Fee 0.06% per annum of NAV, subject to a minimum fee of RM18,000 and a maximum fee of RM450,000 per annum.

You're quite familiar with the charges of funds. Did you work with any fund managers before or you're one of the fund manager?

No, there are no further deductions from the NAV price that you see, after the initial 5.5% deduction.

Some people will insist there are "hidden" audit fees and transaction fees and etc, etc, but that's totally irrelevant. The only thing that is relevant, and the only thing you are interested in, is the NAV where fees have already been deducted. The NAV is what you get in hand - so make up your mind about whether you are happy with that or not, compared to other types of investments you could make.

PS: Technically, RM1000 after 5.5%, is not RM945.00, but RM947.87.

So how the management fee charge us? I still don't understand this stage.

If use calculator press directly, will get RM945.

I discovered that Public Mutual charge very high initial sales charge, for equity fund 5.5%, fixed income fund 3%, then later I found that fundsupermart.com offer very attractive charges which are equity 2% and fixed income bond 0% charges but they're not public mutual funds.

closed already. U can refer to the annoucement at the PM website
*
I mean for those who invested in this fund, they can't do reinvest anymore. If price drop we can't purchase at lower price or can't withdraw the loss amount too. It is not flexible for us to adjust the investment, if that so i plan to quit this fund once the price hit back my capital amount then withdraw out.
