in general, there will be still 5+l of petrol left in the tank when the alarm come on.........

and also when the pump stops, there will be space for another 3l of fuel, before it overflows..........

if they have so much trouble with a waiting list of 175, imagine what it will be like if they had the waiting list of 20,000 when myvi was launched........can get car in 10 years.......... biggrin.gif

called careline........and this is what i get.......

1. there is no 'production' of 2.0l forte so far......

2. they can only assign buyers with a car chassis no, when there are physical cars available........so since no car, no assignment so far.......

3. they have NO record of my booking, as they will only have record when they assign a car........

4. they want 'down payment', to 'fasten delivery'........

5. they have no system to track bookings........only can track when booksing are assigned numbers........and apparently this is done at branch level.........so you can have a booking at a branch, but if the branch has not assign a car to you, the naza computer will not reflect your booking.........

6. and officially, all cars are ckd and assembled in gurun........

so there you are........wait so more lah.........

wah, so many story for the forte 2.0 ....haha.. laugh.gif . Is it all rumours ?
*
this is not a 'story' or rumour.........i am telling as i am told when i called the careline this afternoon.......don't believe, call yourself, and see what answers you get.....their official line is '1-3 months waiting time' from booking........although like i said she implied if you have paid a downpayment of 10%, you may get it faster........

so, is there anyone who booked the 2l who has been allocated any car, or even got any queue no?.......

as for downpayment, it is not uniform across the branches.........my sa says no such thing as downpayment, but should get loan ready and be prepared to pay the difference (so called 'downpayment') when they ask for it.........

what time will naza launch the forte koup?
*
usually at 8pm in the evening........... biggrin.gif

but seriously, they better get their act together with the forte first, especially the 2l version, before trying to launch another car.........this has got to be one of the worst car launch in msian history...........

it's into the last week of january, and 3 weeks to cny......and no news of the 2l..........so i will have to presume it's not coming before cny.........pity, as i will need the extra car over the next month, but after that, no more urgency........

meaning what? cancel your booking...?  sad.gif
*
if a better option comes along, i will cancel.........otherwise i can wait..........

just that it gets rather irritating waiting with no clear explanation from naza........i have waited for cars before, but it's with a clear timeframe, and reason (demand more than production)........

if anyone is interested, here is my 2nd encounter with naza careline........

called them this late afternoon, asked what happened to their investigation into my original complain made 1 week ago........and guess what......they have NO record that i have made a complain!!!....

not good.........

have to give all my booking details all over again.......and guess what again..........NO record of booking.......again official line, 1-3 months after 'payment'.......which when i asked, she clarified means paying the 'downpayment' AFTER your loan is approved.......well, guess what, i have not made any downpayment, my sa never asked........

and the lady said she will investigate and call me back.........

to her credit, she did call back 1/2 hr later........said called my sa, now confirmed that i have a booking, and now say delivery next month........but unable to give ma a queue no. as said the 'storekeeper' is out (i think she meant inventory officer......), and said she will check and call be back tomorrow......

and guess what..........originally she said there is NO 2.0l forte in msia at moment, and may ARRIVE next month........later on, said they are STILL BEEN ASSEMBLED in gurun........what does people infer from this freudian slip.........?

so essentially, i have given up hope of getting the car before cny........and i suspect it will be in march or april, going by current info........for cars to be 'available' for distribution from source (whether plant or port) to actually driving off takes between 2-4 weeks.........i will keep booking, as i will not be in urgent need of car anymore from end feb........it can come in august for all i care, if a better/more suitable car comes along i will cancel.........and they WILL have to return my deposit, no matter what they write, as this is a breach of contract on their part........

actually, i think that's the truth..........nobody can hold up an entire batch of cars, except for the customs and excise.........and i think it has everything to do with cbu's pretending to be ckd's.........

usually when thing like this happens, the cogs of officialdom can run very slowly, and some greasing will need to be done.........

Crap excuses. Naza knew many High Rank politicians (of courselah including Ministers)..i dont think that they were unable to even reach High Rank government officer to sign the doc. Else how come they can succeed in this industry & given so many APs.
*
of course.......else how can a cbu become a ckd.........?

maybe they should just send all the cars back to gurun, remove all easily dismantled parts, then put them back together again, and viola........local assembled car...........faster than trying to kaotim customs........

Hi all, Sorry i need to ask this question again, 1.6SX FC compare to 2.0SX, which one wud be better? Had a mindset that 2.0 always have higher FC but SA told me coz same weight of the car, more hp, more powerful = lower FC?
*
it can be a paradox........the higher powered version may have lower fc........

this was certainly the case with the old saga, their megavalve 1.5l was more frugal than the 1.3l............

i suspect there will be little difference in fc between the 2 versions.....but the 2l will have a lot more reserve when power is needed........my test drive of the 1.6l ex was positive, with a bit of underpower and lag when power is needed like overtaking......and the 1.6sx poorer with more underpower feel and bumpier ride...........

QUOTE(Kazuhito @ Feb 5 2010, 10:20 AM)
err..well..

someone that quite close to me (a somebody in Na**, got bloodline with me) told me this...coz my father bought this kimchi car but he got high patience..but not me..so i kept asking him 2 ask from that particular someone..he went straight up to this someone (in charge of the Forte project) n he said:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

by right, next wednesday d car will be released/able to delivered...
thats what he said...but i ll buy this story...about u guys, u can ignore em if u cant take it...
*
that is consistent with the story so far.........it's government machinery holding it up, and it is caused by naza, wanting to pass off a duck as a chicken........if i am the gov official, i will also be apprehensive about signing it up, and will refer the matter to the boss.........

it is not new, naza has always been what kak pidah called a screwdriver operation.........they just assemble cars that are already in various stage of assembly (putting logos, batteries and tyres are also assembly mah), not make them, and they have always got away with it by having their cars taxed as ckd............

i have owned a cbu kia before, and i don't think korean cbu is significant better than bolehland........it's the design of the car that is important........while i would like a cbu forte, i can live with a cbu one............especially if it's still a duck........... biggrin.gif

so you're saying the price will drop after being 'CKD-ed'?  I wonder if customers will want a CBU unit being CKD'ed?
*
no.........the current price is based on ckd excise duty............

if customs insist on cbu taxes, expect 20k more in price.........yes, you contribute a lot of money to the gov when you buy cars...........

this NEW one IS way better...... than my proton (its only my option just like ur's)
*
you mean opinion..........

like i said, it depends on the design of the car.........if the parts are well designed, and will fit together properly easily, it will be a good car..........

p1's old problem was, the parts are so poorly designed and made, they don't fit.........and the assembly line workers have a hard time putting them together.........the good news is, their design and built quality has improved........

likewise, the koreans have improved, now the are almost on par with the japs, and will be challenging them in the major markets............
