Please consider carefully about the Avante. I was so tempted to buy it but really the engine feels sluggish and the roar is quite obvious. I tested the Avante and I30 1.6 back to back and the I30 has better refinement. However, I find the car sluggish as well but the handling is nicer than the Avante. Between the Forte 1.6sx and I30, again the Forte is better value for money.

Have you guys got any other alternatives if scenario a happens?

Downgrade to 1.6sx from 2.0?

Get an I30?

I like the mazda 3 like crazy but at RM116k I must be crazy to let the govt tax me somemore.

Remember the AP king himself passed away last year in the US. With Malaysia's iron lady gone, I think their power base may not be so strong especially with our old friend (TDM) championing Proton. SD is a Government Linked Company also. I think someone in SD is now more proactive as they even reply personally in their Ford forum.

A hi-spec 2.0 for below 100K is beginning to look like a dream too good to be true.

Add 20K to Mazda3 1.6 (RM113,500) and u get mazda3 2.0 for RM133,900. You'll get different engine, 1 extra gear plus paddle shift, add autoclimate, foldable mirror with signal, 17 inch rims instead of 15, autosensor light and wiper, xenon light instead of HD.

Add XXk to Forte 1.6SX and you get Forte 2.0SX for RMYYY,YYY. You'll get theta II engine, leather seats, auto cruise, and ? foldable mirror.

Currently XX is around 12K. If A scenario ... is XX going up to 20K like mazda3.

Yes... u can change the air filter and it wont void the warranty, just make sure when sending it to service do not ask them to take out or clean the filter for u
the product also comes with a sticker stated there clearly its running on K&N Filter something like an attention caption

Thanks. Like that NazaKia cannot sell any Air Filter to us loh. I just worry they claim the issue if anything happen to engine part like FC, noise...
As per SC advice, we need to follow their service scheduled and parts change!

just want to highlight somnething .. since naza facing problem on getting the forte in .. for few months delay .. do you all think about the spare parts?  will the spare parts will also facing issue ?

let say u r unlucky and ur engine got problem .. do u think they able to find a replacement for u in 1-2 weeks or few months ..

frankly speaking i smell something is fishy about the delay .... it might be price is rising or increase surcharge . ..  remember booking does not mean u pay the price during booking ..  if let say the price rised to another 10k , ur loan will be increased as well ..

I don freaking understand what is the problem here. So many look down on Kia. So many Japanese car supporters. So many ppl buy Japanese cars. Then how can KIA do any damage to the Market. Let them buy their Japanese car and let us buy our Korean car lah.
