Maybe rafa should make carragher a captain and gerrard vice captain.

Err... Carra played worse than Gerrard this season.

wat ever ways u guys wanna put it,

ever since Pako left us due to disagreement wif Rafa, our performance is not consistent.
he may be the asst. manager cum fitness director or wat so ever u would like to call it, WITHOUT Pako, (which hav assisted Rafa since their days wif Valencia ) Liverpool is not any better than the days Houllier was the manager.

do we need to look for a better asst manager or fitness director than the sammy?
sacking rafa might not be the answer, maybe sacking sammy will be laugh.gif

Er... as far as i know, Sammy is assistant manager while Pako was assistant manager + fitness guru. To blame Sammy for the spate of injury is blasphemous!  shakehead.gif

Jonno, maybe what he was trying to emphasize was the loss of Pako Ayestaran had a direct influence to the current bad stamina / bad injury record that the team is now facing.

In that respect, probably, I would agree, but then again... *sigh*

ITS USLESS wat sammy is doing now, our players are easily injured doh.gif

most of our top players, gerrard, torres, johnson, benanyoun, nabil, are sideline due to injury, which could hav resulted fr the WRONG fitness programme

juz look at the time when pako was incharged, we hav less injury, WHY??

BECAUSE his fitness programme is different fr samy( ringed a bell in you ??) and we won games easily
*
a team will be really dumb to completely implement a new fitness programme.
even the previous training programmes were retained.
can even see it in certain ways and similiarities in how dudek and reina reacts, techniques that were implemented when ochotorena was around and who left 2yrs ago.

torres has already mentioned before the end of last season that he was afraid of burn out due to the confed cup that summer.
and what we're all seeing now is a team that is pushing its limits, playing too many games at once.
confed cup, world cup qualifying etc.
a team that had rafa widely criticized before for his rotation policy in which rafa rather rested players to prevent them getting injured.

so all of you out there, pls continue criticizing rafa more...as u can all see its for the good of the team.

short players = lower center of gravity.. smaller player tends to be quicker because of this.. messi, maradona, owen..

player like Torres is the best cause they are physically stronger in the air than short players

defenders will hav a hard time containing them, and tats why they tackle him kawkaw till he gets injured

JonC is not Jonno - Both are loud, rude drunkards but totally seperate entities laugh.gif

I would think that Pako was a person with whom Rafa bounces ideas off, someone he goes to when he needs a second opinion. Sammy, on the other hand has not managed to earn Rafa's respect, hence is ignored more often than not. I do think that someone here has mentioned Rafa tends to discuss tactics with one of our spanish coaches quite often.

That said, as peripheral as Sammy is, I would still hate to see him go, as he IS the last direct link to the 'boot room' legacy that we have.

Today read the NST, Terry "Vegetables' comments on our squad. He mentioned we should off load our Stevie G, in order to secure some financial fund, so we can buy at least 2 good players. Main reason is bcoz we don't have enough money to spend.
He got point, but what if the owner off load stevie g to get the money to sack rafa. This is a disaster. But I still belive our squad is good, it just need some tweak here and there. Now the main thing is on our coach, is he able to tweak the players. New players is no, becoz I believe with limited fund, I don't think we can buy a good player. Why waste money, just build up the current players.
The win over Spurs, some how bost our confident on the players and the fans as well. I hope Rafa will stick on the players no more position rotation or changes.
