If your engine is timing chain then maybe is VTC

Dear fellow big bro,
I owned a 7 years old nissan sentra n16. Recently i notice there is a lapse (few seconds) when I engage the gear from P to D but R gear no problem.
This happens only when the engine is cold.
What could be the likely cause. Clutch plate wear or gear box problem.

I think we need change auto gear oil already.
Who know the previous owner have proper serving.

In fact this happen after I change my gear box oil recently. If it's due to gear box oil then I think both forward gear and reverse gear will have the same problem.
The issue is I only encounter lapsed in engaging gear forward gear, P to D.

May I know that car already done in how many mileage from now?

7 years. Mileage already clocked more than 200k.

Is really consider can last longer of auto GB

hi, i'm currently looking to buy 2nd sentra. can anyone tell me what to check when surveying the car?

Sentra.

1. Check mileage
2. Regular service
3. Engine oil or gear oil, gb oil with brake oil.
4. When drive and feel the car will vibrate on steering, disc plate, engine mounting.
5. Wear & tear should be much affordable on SC.
6. Driveshaft or absorber.

Hi playboy88, i got one b14 1.6 auto. FC is around 0.17-0.19, mixed driving. Odometer approaching to 200k.
