Fella N16 owners, I recently have a problem with my 2003 N16 where the gearbox will have an gear engagement delay for a second or two if it's a cold start.

It works perfectly fine if it's been "warmed up" but if you turn off the engine for perhaps an hour or a few then it will have this gearbox lag again.

When this happens and you go for the gas pedal, it will not respond for one second or two but there will be an sudden engine thrust after it starts responding. It is as if the gas pedal has registered your stepping on it but it takes two seconds to respond.

Anyone's faced this problem before and have a solution?

Hi, I am driving Nissan Sentra GXE 2001 model Auto. Just found this forum. I have few problems with my car. The steering is wobbling at low speeds and feels uneven. A mechanic told me my steering rack gone and cost to replace it is 3k plus. I have new engine mountings.so not the engine nor the gearbox as they also have been replaced with new mountings. My balancing and alignment is done too. Besides, my roof is experiencing rusting went to body shop near my place. they said can do for rm450 but the rust will return after a year or two.so no point.he asked me to consider cutting the roof but that is so troublesome. And it doesn't stop there my brakes don't have that liner operation feel to it. It's hard to estimate the stopping distance. For now I plan to change the brake pads to original hitachi japan. Hope that works.
