QUOTE(matt wee @ Mar 11 2010, 04:31 PM) So sam if i bought Ngk plug must find those with R printed one right? Any spare parts shop got? Or i need to tell them that i want with R printed one? If not mistaken, "R" = resistor. I forgot where I read an article that our mitsu engine are using resistor type spark plug. "R" = resistor type. Here is the picture, so u guys can find it easier.![]() NGK "R" or resistor spark plugs use a 5k ohm ceramic resistor in the spark plug to suppress ignition noise generated during sparking. NGK strongly recommends using resistor spark plugs in any vehicle that uses on-board computer systems to monitor or control engine performance. This is because resistor spark plugs reduce electromagnetic interference with on-board electronics. They are also recommended on any vehicle that has other on-board electronic systems such as engine-management computers, two-way radios, GPS systems, depth finders or whenever recommended by the manufacturer. In fact, using a non-resistor plug in certain applications can actually cause the engine to suffer undesirable side effects such as an erratic idle, high-rpm misfire, engine run-on, power drop off at certain rpm levels and abnormal combustion. I think something wrong with your engine oil... I am using semi-syn MAG1 US imported oil.. Engine as silent as new. better stay away from helix, castrol cos there were fake oil in the market. Some time workshop also dunno its fake or genuine..
Added on March 11, 2010, 8:27 pm QUOTE(yngwie @ Mar 11 2010, 08:26 PM) you mean we can't just swap from mineral to semi-synth; with or without engine flushing? Waja no suit fully syn.. i heard got 1 person post that his spark plug is wet after change to fully syn.. For Waja semi syn is more than enuff what type of 'sakit'? mind to elaborate more? a friend bought a used waja and he don't know what type of engine oil the previous owner was using. he is currently using mineral but plan to switch to semi-syn soon. btw, am happy with hx7 on my waja ride.
