Queries Request For Proof For Suspension Of Account

Today I discovered that my account (skyf50wrx) and favourite game shop account (arjunawong) suspended. Reason was dupe account between two of us but the matter of fact is that we are two different person in real life. Now my account had reinstated but arjunawong is still suspended. Kindly reinvestigate this matter because you have already accuse me (skyf50wrx) as a dupe account. I hope LYN enforcer will trial every forumer equally with facts and proof before suspending them. We forumer should be say guilty when there is facts and proof and not suspend us first then only forumer have to show proof to say that we are not guilty.

We are gentlemen here, please resolve this case as a gentlemen.

This is not a bump, please. Would like to thank you for the guide of direction here and hope all this misunderstanding will be sorted out soon. Please take note that I'm not even working at Playtime but one of the LYN STAFF do not believe so. Infact I have e-mail to him using my Company e-mail address and given him all my contact number and office number as well as request to meet up in person but was denied because of his own beliefs.

I hope there are a Fair Judge here that could help Tim.

Let me advise you this.
Your account had been released. So if arjunwong is not duping, let him defend for himself. If you are really helpful, you may advise him to send an email to appeal at helpdesk@lowyat.net.

I don't see your need to appeal on his behalf. This has nothing to do with you anymore.

FYI, do you how I talk to H@H@ before my release? I need to pinjam my colleague pc and his LYN as a medium to talk to him and proof to him. He don't want to call the number given, not even a miss call.

In fact last time my colleague who got suspended also send the e-mail but no reply after the auto reply and he too have to borrow another ID to be release.

So do you see the point here? I believe there people out there as well who got suspended but send the e-mail to the helpdesk@lowyat.net but no action was taken. Boon, again I hope you can help and relook in this case. He is like a bird without wing now and lucky I'm a true supporter because of his kind service and good pricing.

You are right I don't have to do this but frankly speaking seeing an innocent man being punish like this and yet cannot defend himself what would you do? watch him die? moreover an old man like him.

At least reinstate his account but don't let him post so he can talk to you all and find out more.

In fact he kena buta-buta from me today.

I would like to speak on behalf of Arjunwong, he is a humble man as far as I see and interact with him, and he do provide a very friendly and honesty treating the LYN members,

To be Honest , LYN is so famous in MY is simply because of people have a freedom of speech, no one get suspended for no reason,

in the forum is for we to state our point speaks our mind.

I am not sure why the playtime thread is deleted , and for me , I am fairly disappointed with the action of Thread Deletion.

Hence I am here also to pledge the admin & staff to practice the given "power". and not "playing god"

Playtime Electronics is indeed one of the most reliable and trusted gaming store which truly serves the gaming community well.
personally, i don't see a valid reason of the suspension by the nick of "arjunawong".

kindly please investigate thoroughly. do pls reinstate by the nick of arjunawong, Playtime Electronics.

Hi admin,

I am not related to this case but i just want to give a opinion of my own .

As far as i am concern Mr. tim a.k.a arjunawong is a very nice,friendly , straight to the point person. He helps me to get stuff with good price and with a very good pricing. He helps me to call all over to get stuff that cannot be sold in Malaysia limited edition stuff...... drool.gif

I would like to appeal that admin will look into this case and give him a chance to speak.

I second ipaqfreak's statement. Arjunawong aka Tim @ Playtime is one of the most humble, honest amd established merchant. I have known his shop for years and 'rediscovered' his services via Lowyat.net and frequent his posts on the latest mechandise and availability. If I may say so, his (voluntary) pricing to LYN members is extremely competitive considering that fact that he's based in one of the more expensive area in the Klang Valley. I will never ask a 2nd pricing from him because I know I cannot get anything cheaper (with timely service) at the convenient and pleasant location. Honestly, as a gamer for over 20 years, what more could I ask for? If there is one recommendation I have to give, I would give it here and to Tim @ Playtime. The service that he provides to LYN members in the Klang Valley is invaluable.

Also, another thing that I do not understand. If skywrx's account has been released, doesn't that mean that the LYN admin has concluded that his account is not duped? If not, what would be the reason for releasing him then?
And if that IS the reason, intuitively, that should mean that arjunawong's account is not a dupe either. So why not release both at the same time?

It's like Jane & Tarzan are thrown in jail for adultery with each other. If the judge releases Jane because he has found that Jane did not commit adultery with Tarzan, then OBVIOUSLY Tarzan shouldn't still be in jail for adultery with JANE no? Can it be anymore logical? Unless logic doesn't apply here and this might as well be like the case of malaysian broadband.

yaloo... why suspended his acc.?? if u have a proof to do so... then show it to us...

i used to deal with tim.. he is a nice guy... his worker also very friendly..
just like what they said b4... this is forum... public forum... d place to express our opinion etc...

with his good pricing...service... i dont think his acc deserve to be suspended... come on... release him..

(so that i can know what update dat he has....)

from the word you say "Stuff cannot be sold in malaysia" - is it illegal stuff like fake products or limited edition?

Frankly this is absolutely ridiculous. The action taken by the staff smacks of high handedness and akin to that of a police state. SURELY it is only fair that LYN staff furnish proof of the accusation or at least allow Tim to defend himself. Isnt this how we practice civility and justice?

I'm not going to say this again but NO ONE is misusing "power" here.
We do have our suspicion on the dups in his sales thread. Again, yours and your colleague's account was released because you appealed.

So pls, again.....since you guys are supporting him, pls ask him to send an email to helpdesk@lowyat.net citing this topic. While you have already emailed helpdesk, you do not expect an immediate reply. Admins do have to do their investigation also. So be patience.

Do you know in my colleague send the e-mail and resend and resend but still no reply. We also understand you are a busy man but one suspend is already a mistake then the mistake have been admitted yet the second suspend is goes on. I think you are the right man who will be looking into the case.

FYI, he have send in the e-mail already. Why not like I say give him a chance to talk to you either in PM or in person as you wish (just like you say to defend himself). How about you give him a ETA of the conclusion?

Dear admin,

After dealing with Tim on numerous occasions, i find him the most honest, reliable and humble person ever. I don't see any reason why you should suspend his account. Perhaps you should run a thorough investigation before deleting his thread and suspending his account, talking about freedom of speech. You are causing severe inconvenience for us gamers folks because Tim always supply not only good pricing, but timely service.

I can recalled an incident where i just bought my PS3 from Tim and i couldn't get my display to work, i called him at 11PM in the night and he ran through with me all the possibilities and he got my machine working. Talking bout after service, no one can rival Tim in this respect.

What i am hoping to see is at least do a more thorough investigation before acting hastily. We as LYN forumers are extremely sad to see this happening. Please do the world a good deed by restoring his account. Thank you!!!

Again, I'm telling you that this is not a mistake. We have the right to suspect you and others are dups thus we take action. If you are familiar with internet technology, you'll probably know how we knew. Those old timers would probably know even better how we "suspect".

Thus you appealed, and the said staff had release your account and your colleague's account.
When you send an email to helpdesk, only certain few ppl have the privilege to it. So you do not expect an immediate reply like I mentioned. You'll be also surprised how many emails were received at helpdesk per day. So again, do not expect immediate replies.

Than again, I can tell you that not only your account and your colleague's account is being suspended because of this suspicion. They are a couple more. Whereas you and your colleague had convinced the authority that you guys are no dup, can you than vow for the rest?! That is why we need the said person to appeal for themselves so we can evaluate.

To give an example, I can prove that I'm not a dup of person A. But can I confirm on behalf that person A had not created account B and C? The answer is no. I can only confirm myself has nothing to do with person A but not the rest.

Pls think through it. Thus why my advise from starts.

LYN is a platform for us to get information and product & services.... locking out someone because of dup?

good to see many testimonials of how he runs his business but that's his business and that's as far as it goes because that's expected for a businessman to have good PR but on the forum it could be otherwise.

when i looked into this matter, his suspension was due to the number of possible duplicate accounts detected by the system.

and all of these possible duplicates have the JOIN DATES from January 10 and 11.

perhaps you guys don't know that arjunawong a.k.a Tim has been misbehaving on the forum. In 2009 alone he got quite multiple warning for creating duplicate accounts to boost his own business and harassing others. that also not counting a few other warnings for spamming.

his suspension so far, as per my investigation, is justified. he can send E-mail to the said address.

tim is a nice person for the whole time i know him and i think there are many ppl here have been following his thread for the best deal ever in LYN...

from what i've been reading in the Playtime thread, i cannot see any wrongdoing done by tim. and if he did so (which i never come across to my knowledge), i think, before any suspension, warning should be given in the thread publicly so that everybody else could see. and for this suspension, i would say many of us that have been following his thread really want to know the reason behind it.

i know that LYN staff are doing their investigation, but i really hope that i can see Playtime's thread again soon. nevertheless i really hope the reason of this suspension could be stated clearly & publicly so that every member of LYN fprum can take note of it....

Oh yay, another suspension taken to public instead of the helpdesk as we prescribe (where it can resolved without airing the suspendee's dirty laundry). To all those guys who posted positive character reviews of arjunawong - sorry, this is not a court of popularity.

In the past few days, a few new lowyat.net accounts which were registered in arjunawong's shop, and posted their enquiries to his thread immediately after registration. While they're still at his shop! Then arjunawong would reply them on the forum a few hours later. So why pretend to answer them later, when obviously their enquiry would have been answered in the shop itself?

Not only that, these "customers" sign on at very late hours like 4AM on arjunawong's computer. Bangsar Shopping Centre doesn't open this late. Isn't it unusual for new customers to be out this late with the shopowner?

So what sort of relationship does arjunawong have with these newly-registered accounts? These put together with a history of suspicious activity (for which arjunawong has been repeatedly warned for) equals... account suspension.

The proof? Well, you can ask arjunawong for his browser history. What he has there is what we have here in our server logs.

There you go. RBR runs the helpdesk mailbox and he looks at it in his free time, so if you've written to him, please wait patiently. Topic closed.
