You should make a day trip to Kundasang National Park + Poring Hot Spring + canopy walk, they come in a package. The extra day you can do city tour or visit Tunku Abdul Rahman park for water sports.

are these far from town? basically within one hour i can reach these places? I will save money later to afford Karambunai, but for now we wanna explore KK

About 1 and a half hour drive max, not far at all. Don't waste money on Karambunai unless you just want to stay in the resort and not going out.

Okay, done deal. Will be looking out for these packages. Sounds good!

i izz not having the fitness. not like you alls.

Besides, this is 2nd honeymoon since it's wife's birthday - so want to plan aktiviti that won't result in me going to hospital.

Have decided to check out Hyatt or Le Meridien since my company got corp rates. The tours and stuff I can plan when I'm there right?

Ya, if just a day trip you can arrange it the day before. Hyatt is closer to the tour place, but very old, Meridien is newer and closer to hot spots, but once you step out from the hotel you have to be extra cautious, lots of II.

I miss Hyatt KK. One of the few local nightstop during my 737 days that I like. The bar/nightclub/disco "Shenanigans" is our regular hangout place. Lots of crazy memories there.

I last climbed Mt. Kinabalu during my Fokker days in year 2000. It's awe-inspiring to watch the sunrise from Low's Peak. Sigh.....
