i have a Delta fan that i purchased from someone which is using molex modded to 3 pin. When connect to a fan controller it works, but there's no display available to tell you exactly the rpm number running. cry.gif

can someone direct me to a thread that teaches you how to mod molex to 3-pin ?

someone told me if plug delta fans to motherboard will fry the motherboard, hence have to connect to PSU. can explain a bit ?

not advisable to connect a fan with more than 0.8A to the motherboard....too much current draw will stress the mobo components and might end up kaputed...

i once tried plugging in a delta FFB1212EHE 3.0A fan into a mobo while the PC is on.......plug in only straight the whole rig turned off...

shut down, unplug the fan then the rig can power on again.

depends on the fan controller... and also depends on the fan...

high ampere fans like the delta ffb has 0 to limited controllers that can officially support it.
