Not possible..unless you burn it to DVD format or convert it to standard avi format.
But nowadays for budget players, there are sets that can play DVD and MKV as well...like HiMedia HD300D

Thanks I'm just wondering would it not be more economical and convenient to get a media player? After all a good one cost is now only RM350 which is almost the price of a good branded DVD. These days when we share video files, we use USB stick and/or HDD which are easier and faster to transfer than DVD. Do your files comes in DVD?

err.. MKV is a container, DIVX is a codec..
to play DIVX you need to have DIVX encoded video and also a suitable DIVX file extension.. like divx. avi etc (depending on player ability to recognize which file extensions is allowed..)..
so if your avi is H264 type then cannot, but if your avi is divx video , then can..
as for MKV. even if divx player allow you to play this extension somehow, then have to check if player supports H264 (for most of the std HD MKVs)

HOW CAN YOU "CHAR" PEOPLE WITH WRONG INFO?? the CODEC = H.264.. x264 is a free software library for encoding video streams into the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC format. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X264H.264/MPEG-4 AVC is a standard for video compression. The final drafting work on the first version of the standard was completed in May 2003. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H264ENCODER =/= CODEC.. kapish?
