As far as I know, the new Liger Zero CAS set will have everything in clear, coloured plastic i.e. holotech style. It's the first time that Kotobukiya is releasing a retail version of holotech HMM Zoids, I think. The others have only been contest prizes or similar. For other Zoids...it will be another long hiatus since nothing new has been announced. The HMM Z-Knights will be their focus, I believe. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10272773» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Is that Chogokin Liger Zero the KFM version? Does it use ratchet joints for posing?

Ya. I don't know why the names and designation all different. Must be a fan-made term.
I've never seen KFM/KZ in person. Good buy there, I believe.

Oh, Kinobukiya - why do you tease us so?
ywyap HMM Buster Fuhrer? That should be a satisfying build.
Others have reported that the knees may buckle down after some time so you might want to tighten their joints.
Don't forget to share pictures of the finished product, eh?

xein: Sorry to hear about your "space" problem. I hope it can be resolved before you let go of your preciouses.
musclemania: Your Liger Zero Jager looks so mechanical! The weathering really looks metallic. Did you use flat coat on it?

I hope it all goes well xein.

It's a pity nothing major is happening on the Zoids front. Anyone heard/read of new D-styles?

Wow, bros Ahtiven and Edmaestro. Good to see you both here again.
Still silently collecting Zoids, I take it?
Bro Ahtiven, when did you get your Genesis Houndsoldier?

ywyap: That is a cool pose for the Berserk Fuhrer. It's just begging for light-up features for the mouth cannons.
The legs seem sturdy enough. Which parts were fragile and build steps to watch out for?

Released in the early 90s, Z-Knights were sort of an off-shoot of Zoids. They were quite popular in Europe too, I think. Here's a French advertisement for the toyline: http://www.ina.fr/video/PUB3774426082I've also seen the Italian-boxed versions for sale on eBay. (source: http://www.spacehamster.net/pics/zknight_haul.jpg) Some Z-Knights have the same pilot figures as Zoids and all had the rubber Caps that hold the pieces together. Here are some websites to read more about Z-Knights: 1. http://www.digital-lifestyle.ch/zknights/history.html2. http://projectswordtoys.blogspot.com/2013/...-z-knights.htmlAnd here's a promotional Japan-media video for Z-Knights: http://ceron.jp/url/www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm3002790This post has been edited by riderTEKRAN: Sep 30 2014, 10:36 PM

Dreamworks: Zoids shopping in Japan? That should be fun.
Kotobukiya HMMs and D-styles should be easy to find. If money is no problem, get the special edition ones like the Clear Blade Liger, etc.
MSS Zoids should be a good buy too.
Personally, I would be on the lookout for cheap motorised Zoids for nostalgia reasons.
Happy Shopping!

tErRyRoX: Good looking Z-Knight. Wish I could get one to try. It is a pity it's not bigger but the poseability should be quite expressive, correct?
Dreamworks: What a haul! Is that the reissue of the limited HMM Blade Liger Leon? I can't remember what the initial production box art was like.
Orudios is one fancy Zoids. I just love its clip-clop walk. Great buys.

Good luck Zoids shopping, Edmaestro. I think lots of ZP people went to Japan for Zoids shopping recently too. Maybe you can get tips from them for where to go. ...I want Soba now!

Awesome! Good to see SS FSV in the stores.
Too bad it might be closer to Christmas before I can go check it out at SOGO.

Sounds good, carpathia.
I nominate...er, not sure...better ask him first.
Too bad most of my collections are overseas.
What say you, Ed?

I won't be at all surprised if a hardcore Gundam fan is also the owner of the most complete HMM, D-styles and Revoltech Zoids collection in Malaysia.
TakaraTomy is not keen on producing Zoids anymore, I think. After 2013s "Zoids Originals", there was Silence.
I guess they're leaving it all to 3rd parties like Kotobukiya to keep the "Zoids" brand alive...in Japan.
Us 80's kids and our motorised toys will not get anymore love from TT; maybe only when Zoids' 40th anniversary rolls around.

It's okay, carpathia.
I have two Genoritters with me already.
Cute buggers now need my Mugen Liger to play swords with.

Rabbit Liger!
I wouldn't mind an HMM Genesis Redler, if Kotobukiya is serious about it. Lovely Zoids runes writing.
Looking forward to seeing more of that line.

Cute Gustav! I still have not got mine. *sad*
For Gojulas Giga, it does jerk around a bit. But for myself, I've never expected smooth running motions on motorised Zoids. If Aibo can't do it, what more the simpler gear driven Zoids?
Was so jealous when Selangor, KL Zoiders had their cheap sales in 2006, 2007. Now it's only worth it if one likes motorised mecha kits.

Sometimes old Zoids motors need a nudge to get moving. For really "dead" motors, I will usually open up the motor casing and wiggle the gears with the battery installed.
Hope you all have fun with the Zoids, people. So quiet now that TakaraTomy on hiatus with their products.
