@limfreelance:
My favourite from the website has to be that "musketeers(?)" tiger. Those tribal tattoos are not easy to paint, I think.
Not all the models there are based on Kotobukiya kits so be careful when trying to copy. For example, Stormsworder has only been released in the motorised version. Hopefully there will be a future HMM version of it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for sharing your HMM Sabre Tiger, MyKy44.
I don't know why but I just love how Kotobukiya designed this model.
I really need to get building on my Schublatz kitty.

I recently managed to get MOST components for the Hasbro Holotech version.
Some parts unfortunately have to steal from my incomplete TOMY kit.
At least it has sharp molar teeth but so few of them.
Definitely the HMM has more teeth so it's a better toothpaste model. tongue.gif

Here's a bad attempt at trying to highlight the pointy teeth on the Holotech.

If you like small, poseable Zoids then I'd say this MSS line is just right.
The fact they're retaining the aesthetics of the 1/72 kits makes them more "collectible", I feel.

Too bad they're going to cost more than the Zoids Graphics line. I was looking forward to enjoying the OJR designs again in my lifetime but what to do? I hope the rumoured MSS Molga will at least have those poseable wheel claws like the HMM.

Who's saving to buy these kits up? Seems Sifu Edmaestro has gone missing again so we will need someone else to start building a museum for these MSS.

@nothings:
I don't know of any other Zoids group forums that is Malaysia-based. Usually I also go Zoidspoison and Phenotype.

Perhaps the model makers forum will be able to advise better on building, painting techniques? I think most Zoids collectors very quiet now since only have D-styles, Revoltech and HMM to play with and those are released slow-slow.

Interesting modification of HMM Liger Zero, by the way. Inspiration from Liger Mirage?
Are you planning to get the other non-Liger models? I'm debating to pre-order the Psycho Genosaurer.

Spring-cleaning your Zoids? Aiyah, why didn't tell. Very happy to help with the stock-tak*ahem*check.

Didn't see anything on the XL-shop website. I guess they're not ordering the Tomytec Zoids then?

There are other local alternatives.
http://gwing-online.com and http://hobbynw.com have/had them for preorders. You can try emailing them for the price since it should be released already from Japan.
tfh.com.sg also has the Tomytec Zoids up for sale, if you're going to Singapore during CNY holidays.

The Blu-Ray DVDs and its partner special edition HMM Blade Liger is also up for pre-order.
Should be Guardian Force, I think, if it's Bladey but at RM3000++, I think Chaotic Century will also be included.
Anyone proficient in Japanese can help?

That gwing-online.com is Penang-based, I believe.
Not certain about the hobbynw.com. I think that is local too but the price is really crazy.

For those who were wondering, Tomytec website lists the dimensions of the Godos and Sabre as follows:
1). Godos
W34mm×H63mm×D75mm
2). Sabre Tiger
W113mm×H76mm×D47mm

Next up - Shield Liger Mk-II (but which one?) and Sinker.

From the sticker sheet image, these are all "Made in China", just like Kotobukiya.
I guess the plastic quality should be the same as with D-styles and HMM then.

Well.
For anyone thinking of getting the limited edition version of the Chaotic Century and Guardian Force Blu-ray set - SURPRISE!
user posted image

I am not sure if Guardian Force versions of Van, Fiona and Zeke are included too. The source only shows them in Chaotic Century clothing.

D-style Wolf Irvine is also shown in what I guess to be out-of-box colours.
Need painting? Maybe, just a little bit.

There's an otai sifu member on Zoidspoison who's reviewed the MSS Hammer Rock.
So it's like Kotobukiya style where the caps are plastic.
http://www.zoidspoison.com/zoidstalk/tm.asp?m=94416

Should I wait for Shield Liger Mk-II or preorder Godos? Hmmm...

Happy Holiday, Federationers!
To commemorate this auspicious day, I'd like to share my tribute with something TOTALLY UNRELATED.

If you've ever wondered about the aunthenticity of your R24-6 Neptune, check out my comparison review on ZP. Can access-lah. No need Login one.

Besides this, anyone care to send me your unwanted Zoids comics, promotional pamphlets and instruction manuals? Running low on WC reading materials tongue.gif

Estimated RM400++ for the HMM Gojulas, bro Edmeastro?
Say it ain't so. Looks like need to cut down on my beer then. Sad :'(

HMM Gojulas should be 1/72 scale but that's only in comparison with the other HMMs, I believe. I don't know why Koto had to give it HMM Iron Kong's mouth and teeth though. Cheaper to modify an existing mold, I guess.

What are the chances that the bootleg line will include their own version of the CP-10?

@cryonic:
That is one expensive Sandspeeda.
I hope you'll be able to get another chance at it to complete your 1/24s and your 2013 resolution.

I hope to get my Zoids collecting going again in April 2013. That is, unless someone has a Genesis Brastle to let go at a reasonable price?

Congratulations on completing the TDP 1/24 scales, cryonic.
Where did you get Battlerover from? Japanese site, I'm guessing?

@Edmaestro:
Your dad is/was a Zoider too? Oh wow, dude.
That is a heavy legacy your son is going to need to carry on.
Was the launching mechanism on the DX a favourite for your boy?

Regarding ACTUAL size of the HMM Gojulas model - TOMY and HMM Zoids are mostly advertised as 1/72 scale.
If HMM and TOMY Iron Kong are about the same size then the below pics should be a fair representation (disregarding the "perspective" shot, that is).

Hi guys. Nice to see Zoids lovers still thrive smile.gif I think I need to update my Zoids too. hmm

Hey there, vmagnum.
Thanks for joining the party.

Yeah, it's a good thing that Zoids still have some love amongst some Malaysians.
I have so many good memories about Zoids that I don't think I'd ever let this poison go.

Unfortunately I'm not so much a fan of the HMMs and overall poseable-only Zoids but I'm glad there are fans who can keep the brand alive.

@Edmaestro, ahtiven:
Wah. Went dating huh? Was it a mini-Zoids gathering? Any Zoids were played/tested?

@coleTurner:
Please do share more of your HMM work.
I don't know where all the other modelers went to.
Do let us know what you think of the HMM Dibison. Doesn't look very poseable but hopefully you can find more action-packed scenarios for it.

Keep up with the Zoids love, everyone.

One thing I'm surprised about is how no one visiting LYN Zoids has shared their Yamato Liger yet. Maybe someone did but I missed it?

I would love to read more reviews about this little beast.
Has anyone had a chance to play with this toy yet?

Just for fun, here are a couple pics of the two siblings and counterparts.

I was hoping to get the DCS-J version at Pre-order prices but seems like none of my favourite toy shops was did it. Oh well. Something to strive for before next Chinese New Year then.

Don't worry.
I am sure there will be more of the D-styles being released.
Zoids has 30 years of history to get more designs from.

Very impressive, Sir Edmaestro. You even have the chrome Koto D-styles, I see.
Is the chroming on your kit better than those reviews I read on ZP?
More importantly, have you built all of those D-styles?

@nothings:
Blue on a standard Liger Zero?
Sacrilegious!
Or could it be the Jager version?
If those little bits were painted with an airbrush...well, you're one patient person.
Looking forward to seeing the end product.

Anyone pre-ordered the HMM Psychosaurer?
The missile pods look so freaking cool and I want those Ambient, Specula organoids.

Any place selling for cheap? I'm too stingy to spend RM400+ on kits at the moment.

would like to ask, what would be the value of an old Tomy 1/72 Rayse Tiger now?  tongue.gif
*
*waves hand sloooowly * You want to sell it for less than RM50/-.

In all seriousness though, there's the MIB Rayse on eBay that's been around for quite awhile already.
In terms of perceived value, depends on the collector/buyer.
I'm not surprised if there are people who buy Masterpiece Optimus and give to their kids to play, so should be same with Zoids.

@Edmaestro:
Really?
Still unbuilt the D-styles? Most impressive.
Not surprised, bro - I think you need another warehouse if you're going to put all your Zoids on display.
I never got the chance to see your PK Kong. I really should learn to drive around Subang but scared of traffic.

Looking forward to your views on those TomyTec Zoids. Hopefully they're sturdy and strong eventhough very tiny.

@cryonic:
You mean the MIB Zargam that was on eBay? That was from our good Mr. Yap, super Zoids trader.
He was kind enough to bring his chromed King Gojulas to our previous gathering a long, long time ago.
You bought the Zargam, cryonic?

Got Gundam here kah?
No Zoids. Not interested.

Member Hidocker from ZP was kind enough to share this image of his Tomytec Hammer rock.
Bandai and TakTom sense of scale is so very different I guess the thought of combined diorama is not attractive.
MSS Shield Liger probably like puppy to the former's 1/144.

user posted image

Ooops - apparently there is a Gundam here. Well, whaddyaknow.

@cryonic & Edmastero:
Want to get his WAVE Gorem, instead? MYR500 cheap what. ;-)
It's up on eBay but quick - only 24 hours left!

*sigh*
No news about Zoids, so sad.
I hope D-style Gustav will reach Malaysia maybe by mid-year 2013?

There is a rumour about TakaraTomy doing a survey of Japanese Zoids fans and their Wants list. Hopefully something concrete will come out of that.

How come 3rd party don't "clone" motorised Zoids anymore?
I'm still waiting for funky-coloured Ex-Gurantula.
Can you detect the differences between the prototype (Top) and actual product (Bottom)?

Wow, Ed.
Mint edition Forest Gojulas!
I like the canopy on that kit. Congratulations on securing this rarity.

RE: Masamune(?) Liger.
Okay - if it is the Zoids Genesis Ligers, there were:
1). Murasame Liger (lots of bright Blue colours)
2). Hayate Liger (lots of bright Red colours)
3). Mugen Liger (White with dark blue and gold trimmings)

The Mugen Liger toy is fun since it has light up eyes and a tiny roar as well.
Here's a little video: Mugen Liger - Youtube

Since ALL these Genesis Ligers were released around the year 2005 A.D., I don't think any physical shops in Malaysia has it anymore.

Best bet is to hunt around the online selling sites or be a shopping professional and check Yahoo! Japan Auctions. Bro Cryonic posted a link for the website some pages back. I'm too lazy to go hunt for the link so go jalan-jalanlah on this topic.

Cousin is back to playing with Zoids? Yay!
That means I can now get my Tomytec MSS second-hand, I hope.

Nothing much happening in Zoids land even if it is their 30th Anniversary as a toyline.
What's next on your wishlist, cuz?
