Hi,
I also agree that the new position is better than your current one.
It would make your living room look more spacious. And probably allow you more options to position the front speakers and sub. Also more people can sit on the bigger couch and face the TV directly.
The only drawback is not enough gap between surround speakers and the back of your couch. Previously the surrounds were a few feet behind your couch.
Cost of the wiring will depend on what wires you buy, since they go by per meter. I suppose you will run them on the wall surface and covered by white casing?

QUOTE(Docan @ Jan 12 2010, 03:08 PM) You have a length of 19ft which is pretty good. If i am you, I would seal up one of the doors and have the HT lengthwise. You can then sit furthur away from the back wall where you have your rear speakers. Don't think he can sealed any doors. One is the main door, the other is the door way into the rest of the house. So both have to be accessible.

QUOTE(Waachaaa @ Jan 21 2010, 06:18 PM) My only concern now is the viewing distance of 6 feet from couch. Are you sure it is only 6 feet? If you have your TV against the wall and you sit back in the couch, I think it would be at least 9 feet.
