JMB is a legal establish body under the strata title requirement, it is register with the COB of Bandaraya or City council. Kindly check with the local authority.

Previous JMB or current JMB is still the same JMB, only the person in JMB change.

JMB or its member have to take the legal responsibilities blink.gif

if JMB is liable for the debt, then what about the previous committee?
Can they runaway from it?

Agree... Talk to the JMB head directly and check whether they are sincere...
if yes, ask whether there is anything you can assist.
if no, then it's time to arrange annual meeting to re-elect JMB

haha this is the million dollar Q.

Q: What about the receivable owe by the resident/ owner before the JMB is formed?

in most case, the management co appoint by the developer/ their sister co with submit their "audited" account with huge lose, and the COB just don't bother to look into it mad.gif

Ask some one to look into the Acc and reject it then try to nego with the COB, so that yours JMB can start from "0" rather than take the debts.

"Ask some one to look into the Acc and reject it then try to nego with the COB"

need guidance on the steps:
who is the "someone"? the JMB committee?
where to get COB contact, COB organisation sructure, is it under MBPJ if the condo at PJ?
how to nego with COB? shall we wrote to them and get their black and white consent say that, ok, this JMB will not carry such debt ?

million thanks notworthy.gif
