QUOTE(Sting Ray @ Jun 5 2010, 08:21 AM)
hi marky, I intend to use it mainly for Astro Byond (currently just normal Astro) and later plan to buy a media player to play MKV files. can you explain why it is less "hassle" to have a LCD tv ? with clear scan 200 will it still have motion blur problem if compared to Plasma tv ?
*
Yes, no matter how, LCD still displayed lagging even it's 200hz. Unavoidable. Plasma would be the better choice if your main concern are motion blur or lagging. Plasma have none of this effect. if so minimal. I displayed only LCD at my store and definately motion blur is there while watching fast moving action movies. The recent one Avatar.

I was informed that the ZV-series has been discontinued. The salesperson I asked has no idea whether a replacement model has been released or going to be released. Anyone here who knows otherwise?
*
There aren't any replacement model for ZV series except the XL series only.

Added on October 5, 2010, 6:17 pmForgot to put in: Toshiba has continue the free DVD player with HDMI output until end OCT 2010.

smile.gif depends on the PQ of your dvds. If your movies are screener, then quality sucks. If d5 or d9, then quality would be much better. However not comparable to BD or downloaded mkv movies..

hey scmah73,

can made complaint to Toshiba for their tech to check it out. Probably change the power board or processing board for you. Nothing much to repair nowaday..
