Bro pgkia, look for Pioneer Kuro. You will get the 3D effect.

What a waste to play DVD on Full HD TV. Should go for Blu Ray or HD files like MKV.

Anyone know which Penang shop provide competitive pricing on 47ZV600? SEC Bukit Jambul quotes me RM6.2k. shocking.gif

darenlks & subsix, on the spec, the LCD panel response speed is 7ms, not the best in the LCD market, but they incorporated the so called Clearscan 200Hz. Would this feature really help to eliminate the blurring effect or ghosting on fast moving movie scene?

The taukeh-soh of the shop that I went the other day keep asking me why Toshiba, choose Samsung la... Later I found out they actually got Toshiba LCD on display but located at the secluded corner. I think Samsung must be very aggressive in pushing their product.

So far I'm keeping my eyes on ZV series unless the Pana latest model in Mar is better.

darenlks, do you calibrate or just tune the color to your liking. i would suggest to use colorimeter to calibrate the TV. u should fully maximize your investment.

Just tune the colors to my liking and has been tweaking around settings for weeks until I'm satisfied with it, especially on the color of the sky, human skin tone, green leaf and red color where now they all look natural for me.

Any recommendation where could I get this colorimeter ? Definitely would love to try it out  nod.gif

Yup. I'm using HCFR software. I paid US$120 for the Xrite smile.gif

Only managed to do greyscale calibration on HD65. Better dark scene details.

Sorry, off topic a bit. Currently there are 3D movie with those red/blue glass. What is so different with the new 3D LCD TV? Better 3D effect?

Recently I bought the Coraline 3D Blu Ray and I'm was amazed with the 3D effect.

been using the set for more than a week now,

the problem i facing now

with a totally white background the tv would would buzz and sort of detuned
till the degree where the soud got cut off momentary

like the airasia ad (i think) the plane pic on top would distorted/smeared
while adverts like Brands, would cut in and out of the sound when there is a speck of white shown

even shows like battlestar galactica have problems when there is too much white on screen

since i adjusted to darenlks setting, the problem has minimised
and not so evident now

but it is still there sometimes

anyone have the same problem
btw, i am using terrestrial TV, no astro

i also facing the same problem. but my problem is limited to 8TV, other TV channels are OK.
