Say I got this AVR and another karaoke amp, is it possible that I connect the front speakers to both the amps? But I only use one at a time. Will it affects the other amp?

very dangerous act, is both amps switch on simultaneously, you will get BOOM

if you must connect this way, add a relay to each speaker

Can't you take the audio out of the karaoke amp and run it into the aux input of the AVR. then use the AVR speakers for both.

do not use your hi-fi speakers for karaoke - get k-ok speakers instead (like BMB or such brands) which are made to withstand bad live vocals

Does your Karaoke amp comes with a 'Preout' or 'Monitor'?
You can connect it to the AVR with it.

But as someone suggested, its a must to get those Karaoke Speakers rather than you delicate hifi speakers.

If 'BMB' speakers are expensive, there is always 'BGB' etc..

can check how much for a pair of speaker?

Added on February 6, 2010, 5:32 pmtoo bad my k-ok amp doesn't have any pre-out. so is there something like a selector switch where i can just switch the speaker connection to either one of the amps?
