Hi guys,i really need your help.
im gonna move in to new house next week,
and i want to apply internet broadband.
theres so many offer, but then most of it is 24month contract.
can someone enlighten me which internet provider have the best bet and worth of money plan ?
im in brisbane. thanks guys.
*
first of all,you want normal ADSL or ADSL2+?
you need to check whether your new house have port.you can check it at http://www.yourbroadband.com.au/
enter your address there.

the best ISP out the would be Internode,iiNet,tpg, etc
many ppl go for tpg bcoz of high quota..i think they do offer 12months contract.or u can go for internode which i am using..voted best ISP of the year and so far so good. they offer no contract too but with high setup fee..same goes to iinet.don go for DoDo

judging from the speed in your siggy, you're on Internode's fibre plan?

I just changed my plan to the $59.95 IEB on Tuesday  laugh.gif

no offense to those who support studylink..however, recently i am renewing my student visa at the moment and there are a lot of issues involved. Hence, i decided to go to studylink australia and asked for their advice regarding it. I am just wondering whether is studylink reliable when it comes to visa application? i am sorry if i sound a bit too harsh coz i lack of proper language to address it properly tongue.gif

cheers

Dear seniors, I found out that Commonwealth Bank allows overseas students to apply for bank account prior arrival in Aus. Is this recommended?
http://www.commbank.com.au/personal/youth-...rseas-students/

is up to u..not much different for me if u apply before ur arrival or after..
for me,i will bring a bit cash and bank draft then apply for bank account after arrival..not like it will take few days to get your bank acount

so u apply for bank account b4 ur arrival then u plan to TT the money to your account?

just bring few cash like AUD300-500 and bank draft..once reach australia go open a bank account and u will get ur account on the spot.then deposit ur bank draft into ur account

i remember i bring about $500 cash and 2k bank draft..1st day when i arrived i never go anywhere n stay at my fren's place..2nd day i only open an account n bank in my bank draft.
$500 cash is more than enough for me(just for foods) and the bank draft cleared within 2 business days..
i guess just depends on ur situation

some ISP u need to provide phone number. that means u need to have landline and apply for naked adsl..once connected then ur landline will disconnect..
but some ISP just need your home address like Internode and iiNet...

but actually naked adsl cost is slightly cheaper or same as adsl with landline rental

so which is worth taking?
*
i am using Internode because this is the only port available in my exchange..Internode voted best ISP of the year.but the usage not rly higher than others(tpg, iprimus, etc) but i believe it worth the price..u need to make sure which exchange are you in and what ports available..
