Guess what, too may of our members shifting to new era of 'i" series... even most of 775ers are shifting also. I just bought a new MSI board which before that caused me a big dilemma to change or not to. Sometime I feel that upgrading between the same platform is kinda useless, i5? i7? wish I got much money to poked out from the pocketĀ  cry.gif
*
Haha.. Thats true. Technology is going on, and people change / shift is due to their daily usage. Anyhow, I guess i will still stick to my LG Q-series for another few more years. IMHO, i felt that the currently i-era is way too messy. With the roll out of LG1366 and 1156, its a pain on ass when thinking about upgrading after purchase either one. Diff socket = diff mobo, diff proc and diff ram in some case. sweat.gif

@Ray,
Going dying hard with ur P4? LOL.. What a royal owner! I had just did some upgrading for my pearl. brows.gif Changed 88GTS to GTX260+.

P/s:
@ Ray,
Yea. Flying high! Noticeable performance and FPS. Eg, run SF4 full HD & all max, 880GTS only 12-15fps. 260GTX+ maintaining 60fps.

Currently not thinking to change to any side yet, budget constraint. tongue.gif

Well seriously I'm bit reluctant to sell the parts, but due to P4 sc478 parts is very hard to get nowadays. So might as well I let go the parts I have to other potential buyers.

My P4 have serve me very well for the past 5years. smile.gif

Man! Sorry for the late reply. So do u mange to sell off all ur remaining P4 gears?

QUOTE(raymond5105 @ Apr 20 2010, 05:48 PM)
Yo,kahloon lost his P4 again......sad to hear this.....

@fylon,long time no hearing from you...how is your P4 rig bought in last time?Still using?

@\(^.^)/, 4.05GHz and 4.5GHz has a lot of different.  nelza's proc is able to go high but with some other ratio on the RAM there.
*
Yo Ray! Sorry for the very late reply. Extremely busy with my work.. Now then have some time to read back the old replies. Oh.. There no P4 left in my collection now. sad.gif Sad news isn't! Replaced the with Atom N280 due to space & heat constraint. Turning more into photography and home theater. My quaddies were under utilizing beside using it to process RAW to jpeg. sad.gif

@fylon,converting RAW files really need high CPU processing. I wander the quaddies could process the files faster compare to dual core ?
*
Oh yea. Depend on software that you are using. My highest record is 200 photo with quad @ 40+mins time. Processing 2 RAW at the same time. P/s: My system were on default speed. laugh.gif Edmin's one might faster then mine as he's got OC kaw kaw.

QUOTE(shinjite @ Jun 4 2010, 11:50 AM)
If it is optimized to allow more cores to run parallel, sure faster

Now hexacore already...aarrgghhh, friend getting the AMD X6 1055T liao sad.gif
Me pulak, have to wait again >_<"

very true indeed fylon. looking at all the news and reviews of new stuff always so mouth-watering.
Most disappointing part is seeing the price, and then seeing how much that's in our pocket laugh.gif

FYI, this is my 3rd & 4th piece F4. LOL! My storage is increasing from time to time thou.. Currently got 4T in main rigs, 2x 320GB external and a 500GB for my HT player.

I myself is using 4 stick, but sadly under underutilizing. tongue.gif Anyways, it is quite easy to identify them. Check see whether is the any clip on the heat spreader. If got surely high chance is D9GMH. And also check on the parts number. If u got the 1batch with 16FD2 / 16FD3, guaranteed D9's chip.

Tried on this fella before, from stocked 667mhz to 1200mhz isn't a problem. brows.gif

P/s: Btw, we are out of the track already. Let's come back! tongue.gif
