I believe its a pretty standard interest rate at the moment. AFAIK - Proton cars are selling with the interest rate ranging from 3.3 - 3.7% pa

Does anyone know the current rate of car loan refinancing? Want to see if it is viable to refinance a loan since my current Proton loan was taken at 3.75% I think.

Wanna ask.. I lost my car and I'm waiting for insurance claim. I'm planning to buy a car now as my car is stolen and I do not have any transport. How much I will lose if I borrow from bank now, repay back the total after I get my insurance claim?

Lets say I borrow RM10k now and I pay back one lump sum about 3 to 4 months later. How much I'd lose?

Depends on the car (higher i/r and shorter repayment period for older cars >10 years), loan payment, loan tenure.

it all boils down to your monthly commitments percentage out of your monthly income. IINM, housing loan & MV loan combined not more than 75% of your monthly salary. smile.gif

wanna ask about 2nd hand car loan... curently they are numbers of imported 2nd hand car... which stated - manufactured yr - 2000, registered year - 2006..

so i wanna ask, if i apply for loan.. which would be the bank reference for the car year? 2000 or 2006?

if 2000 means i would get a shorter repayment period for the loan compare to 2006 which i might get around 7yrs repayment period...

thanx in advance....

Bank will look at manufacturing year. In your case, it will be year 2000.
