For the love of God gadgeteers please do not buy a first generation Apple product.
My 1st gen iPhone only works as an ipod now (SIM card doesn't read, or the antenna is gone).
My macbook black 1st gen intel chip has had its:
1. logic board
2. battery
3. palm rest (cracked)
4. hard drive
all replaced (thank goodness it was free).
I don't want to know the kind of problems the ipad will run into....anyway we all know 2nd gen will have more features so it will be best to wait, unless you are filthy rich.

WHEN WILL IT EVER STOP?  it doesn't, but I think the ipad is missing some pretty fundamental features in its basic model such as a camera (front facing would be great), MULTI-TASKING, and there should be at least 32 GB on every model. Or at least an SD card slot, its 2010, not 2000! |
