Not sure what could be the issue, your iTunes account can be authorized up to 5 times on individual PCs like myself, and I synced with multiple PCs before but have to wipe app due to different media library but never had your issue of crashes.
Exactly authorized 2 pc for my iPhone as well neve ran to this kind of problem, I had to restore from another pc then only I could restore 
but after it's all good and btw I had to manually download the firmware then only I could restore
