yeah, I'm using USB to update, btw mine is the old 40gb version.

Q) I encountered an error during the firmware update
A) Press Start + Select to reinstall the firmware update from the error screen. Make sure you have prepared a USB drive with the PUP as above.

Guys, how do we request Sony to put English version of games on the PSN? I am sick of seeing Japanese version of FFVII on Malaysia PSN. I want the English version

why don't you try buying a US psn card instead? much easier then to complain to SCEHK, who thinks the entire asian region is full of japanese people.

Why don't we REGISTER MORE on MY PSN instead, to show that we have a strong base here, instead of pretending to be US citizen and go through the hassle of getting PSN card and might get yourself banned in the process due to suspect of cc fraud?

I already registered on MY PSN but they still sell japanese game. Also, I get my PSN cards legitimately from trusted sellers (not lowyat). so i have never been banned.

If you want to show your anger, go to SCEHK in person and scream your frustrations at the japanese boss there.

MY PSN is expensive that the choice are very limited. That'swhy US PSN is the way to go.

Even we have tons of MY PSN IDs the games in MY store will still be in Japanese/Chinese as it has been the same since PS1 days. What about those who can't read these languages?? Asian region games are either Japanese or Chinese. I believe its only towards end of PS2 era or PS3 era where we have English/Chinese.

To be frank,since we can use our credit card on PS store singapore,
and until now,we can't even login to PS home using PSN account under region malaysia,i dont see whats the point for us to keep supporting Sony Malaysia on this,especially when their games on PS store malaysia are always more expensive than PS store singapore,even after currency convertion.
