QUOTE(wkn @ Feb 5 2010, 01:38 PM) why don't you try buying a US psn card instead? much easier then to complain to SCEHK, who thinks the entire asian region is full of japanese people. Why don't we REGISTER MORE on MY PSN instead, to show that we have a strong base here, instead of pretending to be US citizen and go through the hassle of getting PSN card and might get yourself banned in the process due to suspect of cc fraud? |

QUOTE(vorchiel @ Mar 13 2010, 11:25 PM) If u download the DLC from PSN, u will NEED the GTAIV disc. If u BUY the standalone disc for the episodes, u do not need the GTAIV disc. My point is I have a MY PSN ID, ant the Episodes i will dl will be R3. If i have GTAIV R2, will it be compatible? Pls note that I want to play GTAIV too, so definitely need the original disc. Thanks |

QUOTE(ajis @ Mar 14 2010, 10:53 PM) most of the dlcs in psn are region locked, but there some are region free, like Dead Space and RE5 dlcs so far no confirmation that GTA4 dlc episodes are not region locked. If you want to try it out whether its region free or not, it's up to you but vorchiel already clarified that you don't need the disc to play the episode, so no need to worry whether it's compatiable or not |

QUOTE(vorchiel @ Mar 15 2010, 05:57 AM) ok i completely overlooked this. i was under the impression that the dlc will not require gta4 disc, but after a bit researching, only the retail disc is standalone. No hope to confirm then. And i can't find a single R3 GTAIV here....mostly R2 or R1 only:(no guarantee that r2 disc will be compatible with other region's dlc. sorry for any inconveniences. |

QUOTE(andy_lhc @ Mar 15 2010, 01:59 PM) y would u get banned for playing R1 DLC which u have bought legally.... From what i understand, unless u r talking about the legality of using a US PSN which i think is absurd for anyone to think that Sony will ban u for using a US address.....what if i resided in US and came to msia?? do i have to create a Msian PSN??? 1. Malaysian credit cards are not usable in US PSN. 2. The only way to purchase from US PSN is by reload card. 3. There are already instances in LYN where the people use the reload card then get banned due to the reload cards are purchased through dubious means (stolen card number etc). Pls correct me if I am wrong. |

BTW, what is the difference between MY PSN and SG PSN? Does SG PSN has more games in English? I check PSN Hk and PSN My, both are same in term of games offered.

QUOTE(Eoma @ Jul 18 2010, 09:11 PM) the length and quality of the shielding also plays a part. Longer length = higher signal attenuation = more noise at high bandwidth @ resolutions. That applied to analog cable only. For digital cable, you either receive the sound or no sound at all. No such thing as more noise at higher resolutions. The faqs for HDMI has stated it clearly. |
