I'm wondering which brand and which size of LCD TV is better for me...
Headache to choose and search around then i decide to ask here so i can get the answer faster to make the decision...
LCD TV for living room use, so i don't go for plasma...LED TV from Samsung are too expensive for me...Lolz...
About the size, 50, 52, 55 and 57(I missed some size?), even all of them are "Full HD", how about the resolution? 1920 X 1080? If all of them with the same resolution then is it only the size are different? 16:9 and 16:10 which is better for movie, game and sport? Of course the respond time must be 2ms or below, or else i rather use my PC for gaming and movie, lolz...+ with 60HZ, hehe...
One more thing i not really understand, that's the "contrast ratio" or "dynamic contrast"...Some sifu or pro around there help me please...
The brand i can choose only Sony, Samsung, Lg, Sharp, Panasonic, Toshiba, if got some other brand that is better please list out for me...

P/S: I heard that most of the panel of all other LCD made by Sharp?? Is it true?
Thanks a lot 1st...Hehe... rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

May I know why plasma is out of the question? Looking at the sizes you're considering, you are better off with a plasma TV. I was looking for a 46inch LCD but ended up with a 42 inch plasma. Never look back at LCD anymore smile.gif If you are looking at 32 inch, then LCD could be ok.

I know Plasma is better, but i go for LCD because of my living room size...and my living lights connected to one switch that light up 12 lights at once...Can imagine how bright my living room...If i just got a small room with less of light like karaoke or movie room, for sure i choose plasma...

I still remember before I brought my current Plasma, the salesman mentioned that previously during promotion, their use hammer to knock the screen of Plasma for a model 1 generation early than my current Plasma (which is make in Japan) to test the toughness of Plasma protective screen in front of customers. laugh.gif

you seem to me like you did your homework. why the insecurity? you already know what you wanted, just go window shoppin' and grab the one that's within the range you're willing to spend. and you already know how much you willing to go. smile.gif btw, the philips 42" 9 series is pretty promising smile.gif 200hz motion engine... accurate and not too distracting artifacts
