So I've been reading about Game VPN, and I have my own server at JARING DC & Streamyx DC and experienced myself using personal made SSH Tunnel....instant 250ms...but that's it. Unless I'm on streamyx, the routing to JARING server is always bad.

Ok, just imagine if you're in position in major ISP, youre gamer...your server located at US, what should you do ?

1. Buy CDN to reduce lag ? Content Delivery Network ?
2. Buy a dedicated server in Dallas,US and VPN with you server in MY..and ssh tunnel to MY server ?
3. Is normal Linux will do or do I need to specialize the default network settings in the box ?

I need some stats too
1. How many active WoW players in Malaysia ?
2. How many quite WoW because of the lag / bad connection ?
3. Average bandwidth user for 1 user for 1 hour ( normal play & raiding )
4. Acceptable WoW ping reply ?

Other than asking Blizzard to put private server in MY, that's the only way to do it...

I'm not a network guy, but..can we reduce HOPs by VPN 2 servers ?

Somebody from ISP actually asking me, what kind of business that I want to venture ?

I'm web developer for almost 10 years, at night I play game...started wow on 2006 , play CS sometimes..and I have some basic system admin too....

so to cut the story short.......

Ppl in Malaysia can't enjoy the online gaming scene due to network latency. I tried overseas Tunnel service at can get stable 500ms...when I reverted back to normal.....800ms.......when I switch on my private server SSH ( TMNET datacenter )...stable 300ms

So I was wondering how to make the lag to sub 200ms....if they like my idea and prepare the budget for that......other than digging the ocean to make one to one US to Malaysia pipeline.

What's the main cause / culprits the game lag in Malaysia actually ? Due to JAPAN routing ?

well, apart from quality ISP, your pc/modem/router also a big contributing factor in latency issues
