hi.. i got 2 decoders, 1 byond 1 older wan.. using 1-2 rf splitter +  amplifier 2400mhz.. the setup is like this..
1LNB -> amplifier -> splitter -> 1. byond decoder -> 1st tv
                                                  -> 2. old decoder -> 2nd tv
the problem is whenever change to HD channel @ byond decoder.. 2nd tv shows no signal (all channels no signal) from the old decoder.. am i missing sumthing?

I believe the HD channel is using diff freq from the SD channel. So I guess when you switch to HD chan, there is a control signal sent to the LNB to change the freq and hence your old decoder no longer receives SD signal.

This is why for Byond PVR you need to install two RF cables from the dish with 2 LNB so that you can have both HD and SD channels active simultaneously..
