Hi! Just got myself a 2nd hand D60 and hoping to start taking decent pix soon. Now i am reading up on most tips and trick but i am still getting confused badly with the Apperture and Shutter thingy.

I mean, i get the general idea of how it works but how to make it work for me is another matter altogether..

second hand lah. i dont think u can still find D40 at shops anymore; it has been replaced by the D3000 which is an inferior camera to D40
*
Well, I did notice that ppl are letting it go in garage sales for around 1k. give or take a few ringgit.
D60 goes for around 1.5k. depending on SC and D3000 goes around 1.8k.

The SC is at 17k and no bag.

But its still an ok deal for me.

Hey guys, I have an urgent question to ask

For D60 kit lens, if we were to get a Lens Hood for it

What size should i get?

55mm lens hood
or
52mm lens hood?

I saw that my lens filter is 52mm, hence i am confused now.

Thanks!

Argh! I dont get it.

I mean, I get the idea that u need smaller lens filter to fit inside the 55mm

But when buying the stuff, shouldnt a 55mm lens filter automatically should fit a 55mm lens?

Urgh... the front lens cap is lost. >.<
When the buyer sold it to me, the cap was lost. he got a generic one to replace.

So a 55mm lens hood is for what kind of lens?

Crap, now i need to cancel Dealextreme order. Hopefully they havent sent yet.

Thanks ! !

Edit:

On another note. Anyone want a cheap 55mm Lens Hood + Cover? kekek

Ur 70-300. AF-S one ah? How much? Lai lai pm. I am curious biggrin.gif

btw, I am thinking how much would a general use flash cost? and which type is good?

I can't make sense of the Flash's coding. I assume all the numbers and alphabet is a description of how good a flash is.

err, u cant generalize it like that
For Nikon all u nid to c is "AF-S" for lens with build in motor
for 3rd party brands Sigma n Tamron, all the latest lenses comes with motor
but for old lenses u have to ask about it

Ah.... Thanks notworthy.gif

Crumpler! 5MD should be just nice. But since its for a lady, might as well get 6MD. Coz a lady brings lots of stuff when they go out. Might as well all chuck it into one bag.
