I am a d3000 user myself and i am very satisfied with my dslr.... But i think d5000 would be a great dslr which can catch video =D....
In the end you get what you pay for =D |

QUOTE(noobie1 @ Mar 17 2010, 07:37 PM) all AF-S lens can override but AF lens can only AF on D70 body and above... oo... so AF-S and AF are 2 thing lah.. will take note from now.. tq =Dyour D3k cant autofocus on this lens... But the focal length factor... its based on lens? or based on the camera body 1 ah.. quite confused on this thing... Tamron and Sigma lens quality acceptable ? |

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Mar 17 2010, 08:06 PM) PITA = pain in the... guess urself lah ehehe as*.... right? =Dyeap AF-S and AF is different. n yes we can use the AF ones with manual focus...but obviously it will slow u down = u take less pictures = less good pictures. also it makes u worry too much about focusing, while u shud be thinking abt composition oh ya...the crop factor is based on camera. our camera is 1.5.. so any lens u want u need to multiply with 1.5. dun worry abt this lah, we wont know the difference unless we use film or fullframe hehehe. juz that lets say some photography article recommend 18mm lens, meaning u need to get 12mm lens not 18mm lens 'acceptable' is different from person to person I just quite scare it will "rosak" fast mah... but after reading some article about lens... How do you differentiate about a lens for portrait? Some of the article say wide angle lens will make the picture stretched? and while some tele-lens make the picture become compressed abit... Confused.. sifu please explain =D |

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Mar 17 2010, 08:48 PM) hahah it's a poison all of us kena Lolx.. i mean the f-number lah... Aiya, have no choice but to stick to it... Since i just enter DSLR for nearly a month only ...the aperture written is the maximum (smaller number is bigger aperture) maybe juz use kit lens 1st? its a pretty good lens already. maybe for portrait can get tamron 17-50 but it wont help much for landscape lah. if u want to take nice landscape pics, bttr spend money on travelling Stop about lenses already.... if not i gonna kena poison further xD.... |

QUOTE(pmmonkey @ Mar 17 2010, 09:29 PM) Don't worry about getting lenses first. Change your mindset to learn how to properly take pictures first, then you'll know what you'll need to get next. I know about that.... just want to set a target lens so i can save up my money for it lolx.... My next coming event is the district athletic meet.... =DI'm already in the 3rd month using a DSLR, yet, can't take superb pictures. If my pictures are no where near good, no matter what lens I use, the pics still wouldn't be much better. |

QUOTE(celciuz @ Mar 18 2010, 12:18 AM) The '70-200 VRII' is more of a '70-200 VR' II instead of '70-200 VR II'. Meaning the 2 refers the second revision of the lens, and not specifically using second generation VR or something isn't it? I think so.. actually i also quite confused with their post... i think that its 2nd ver of the lens.. |
