battery grip is not a necessity, its purpose is jz to allow u have a more stable grip when taking pic vertically
but veterans with stable hands dun even nid it
is more the useless for D40/D40x/D60/D3000 users as the main purpose of battery grip cant be use
most ppl buy battery grip jz to have their cam look more pro, haha  laugh.gif  laugh.gif
*
Lolx...Are you one of " most ppl" ? haha
thanks for the info anyway...

But I would prefer it if a lower ISO is used tongue.gif Just my personal preference smile.gif

Depends on people ... but manual focus in low light condition is hard compared to a well-lit object...

IQ stands for?

QUOTE(nkymark @ Mar 25 2010, 03:57 PM)
hahahaha I have a D3000 too and I find that noise starts to build up at ISO800 and above. So choosing lower ISO will have less noise but then the shuttle speed will be slower. But then again, since your SS is only 1/125, maybe ISO400 can be used to. FYI, I'm a noob too hahahha so I'm still learning also tongue.gif
Cheers
*
I know this... but i dont really care much about noise lo... whistling.gif
Will note about this next time...

IQ = Image Quality
For daytime capture, higher ISO is ok, but when it comes to night time, the noise would be very obvious smile.gif

Free one would be Gimp... But if just wanna adjust lighting stuff, the software that comes with Nikon, CaptureNX will do... But to make full use of that I think you need to shoot with RAW, more options will be available in the software smile.gif
Cheers

I didint even take out the disc yet since i bought my dslr .... tongue.gif
