QUOTE(Faint @ Mar 10 2010, 03:41 PM) Actually I got this information from another forum, we're discussing about the Tamron new lens => SP AF17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di-II VC LD Aspherical (IF) . The newer lens has VC but older version don't have VC. they r comparing which version of the non-VC?if comparing the old 17-50 without motor then the IQ is better than the 2 motor version QUOTE(y_owez @ Mar 10 2010, 06:45 PM) usually the sdhc is what brand? and bag is what brand?. the free memory card the shop can give any brand they likeneed to know ...dont want get cheated by shop Added on March 10, 2010, 6:47 pmgot quoted : Nikon D5000 18-55 (4gb/bag) rm2690 if u dont want 4gb -rm30 if u dont want bag -rm20 ur sandisk extreme means 30mb/sec? if yes 4gb rm145 8gb rm230 screen protector i give u for free when u buy with sandisk === reasonable? usually less popular brand like Transcend, Kingmax or others, some give Nikon the bag mostly is Nikon small 1 do u nid Sandisk Extreme card? for D5000 low fps rate i doubt it make a difference screen protector most shops will give u free u can pester the shop to give u free even if u din purchase Sandisk card This post has been edited by General_Nic: Mar 10 2010, 07:45 PM |

iso? aperture?
but even at f/3.5 n iso 1600, shutter 1/400 in a room is overkill try shutter around 1/50, u'll c the difference This post has been edited by General_Nic: Mar 10 2010, 10:17 PM |

lolz, f/7, no wonder
for taking close up on small subjects, best use smallest aperture, eg f/3.5 if using 18mm then no nid so high iso, especially on D40, use 400 or 800 enuf then try use shutter 1/30-1/100, maybe lower This post has been edited by General_Nic: Mar 10 2010, 10:21 PM |

well, for room with jz 1 or 2 fluorescent lights is too dark for normal shooting without flash
u can try use tripod or put your cam on sumthg, then use shutter 1/15 or lower sure will be brighter, but will not be as bright as using flash, n downside is u cant handheld at this slow shutter |

QUOTE(SihamZhai @ Mar 10 2010, 10:30 PM) I test it out in the sunlight tomo, manual mode. Cuz even warm light in my dinning room still dark. If in dark places, which mode do you recommend? Programmed auto? try using auto without flashthen learn the settings if the cam used high iso but still super slow shutter means your room is too dark different case if u have flash or large aperture lenses QUOTE(reveur @ Mar 10 2010, 10:31 PM) I don't like built in flash. Whenever use it. It just give me glaring effect on the object i wanna take. thats wat we call harsh flashcos harsh on subjects skin n harsh on our eyes too |

QUOTE(reveur @ Mar 10 2010, 10:38 PM) Eh what do you guyz think when a so called Pro-photographer uses Built-in flash to take a group photo ? y not? maybe jz for fill-in, or sumtimes jz no choice if too darkbut if use it for a group of 10 or above, i doubt the small built in flash is enuf to light up everybody's face |
