@wen116
I think D3000 not mistaken almost same D5000.. however I am not really sure..
My battery grip not really useful during vertical shot.. It use infared instead.. Need keep keep change remote if you using vertical shot. The auto focus using vertical shot will be slow and sometimes not function properly..
The pro battery grip for me is it make my camera look nicer, more juice for snaping photo(really good), and better grip..
So far, never regret buy however just forget the vertical shot..
There few brand like meike, phottix and octopus..
I heard someone told me before, if you dun like meike battery grip, don't bother find another.

The vertical shot only can use if you change remote funtion, because it use infared instead. You need change your shutter to infared/remote.
Press half shutter mean it auto focus for normal shoot and full press mean snap picture and the battery grip does not support it.. U press, it direct autofocus and snap picture

QUOTE(wen116 @ Mar 23 2010, 02:14 PM) OIC ~ my main purpose of buying it ~ Better grip and Yao Yeng =P so i think i has to slowly check this battery grip ^^ tq for all yr information sifu XD~ Ya.. same purpose like me last time.. However adding battery grip might adding more weight.. .... If add flash gun(4aaabattery)+battery grip(2battery)+70-300mm..It kinda heavy.. @General_Nic. Wired is much accurate.. however the wired.. really ugly.. lol.. I skip that.. Wired is cheaper than infared but I prefer infared.. haha.. it look much nicer.. @illegaldragon87 Yes.. Use lamp+flash gun to stop the shadow but I using a bit differet way due I using flash gun on top instead. I looking table lamp but still can't find that suitable yet.. This first project.. Build a tent first than buy lamp.. I searching few week but hardly find a good lamp so without waste any time, I use flash gun first and see the effect.. It work but the shadow.. =.=

QUOTE(nkymark @ Mar 29 2010, 10:23 PM) No worries friend, you can convert the photo to B&W. Sometimes B&W with noise looks better than colour pics without noise :-) Cheers Yup agree.. Convert to black and white or some color pop will make the picture look nice
