QUOTE(maxh3h3 @ Jan 28 2010, 09:58 PM) you sound very new to DSLR, its easy to solve your problem, join us in gatherings what is rule of the third actually?? i saw quite a number speaking of them...but i still don't know about it...Okay heres the very simple advice for beginner, try play with Aperture Priority the symbol of ( A ) at the jog dial When u use this settings, the camera will automatically set a suitable shuttle speed for u to shoot a nice pics, if the shuttle too slow till u get blurred pics, try increase the ISO slowly till u can shoot better. U cant learn everything by asking here alone, u must go to some sites with the very basic explanation of what is aperture , shuttle , ISO , white balance, Exposure and raw , Rule of the third of course . Anyone can please provide a link for our new fren here |

Not exactly 1/3, but these are the closest points for it. I'm not good as doing AF then recomposing with shallow DOF, 50mm f/1.4 for example so I'll stick with the closest point. ![]() The more accurate lines you can imagine is the most outer AF points for each sides. As in changing from center to side? It does illuminate if I'm not mistaken, you mean it lights up red for a moment as you switch the points? |

i heard someone calling my name?? lolx...
@Faint is actually prime lens...not fix lens...and prime lens doesn't 100% good for potrait...some of them is macro lens..then best of prime lens is cheap and have big aperture... |

QUOTE(SkyBlue99 @ Feb 7 2010, 02:15 AM) Not sure if it's just me but it's more of a precautionary method right? So far my fon, laptop, cam none charge for 8 hours on first charge n it still retains battery rly well compared to those who does follow the 'advice'. Can anyone shed some light on this issue and i thought D90 battery can last more longer than D3k..and maybe D5k??Added on February 7, 2010, 2:17 am Nt so sure but wedding on one batt still about 25% with about.. 600+ shots? not sure though...i rmb last time i choose D90...one of the reason is the battery last longer than entry level... |

http://www.nikon.com.sg/compareproductitem...1281-86d7b52026 see the battery life somewhere at the bottom...thou i know that info is not so accurate...but just for a guide... |

mostly likely u can choose one point only...even D3x also one point only i think...
unless u set it auto..then it might have more than 1 point...but not choose by user... |
