Yea d90's noise control is VERY GOOD even at ISO3200, i saw the original JPEG file, very very useable unless u zoom in 100%. Not to mention shooting in RAW.

I also no fund now, if i sell my d40 kit i need to top up rm2k for d90 body, if wan get tammy need add money. Very poor leh as a student... So i can just use my D40 now lor... beggars can't be choosy T.T
*
its usable but for me, 1600 is the max i will used no matter what. the picture tend to be soft, the color will lari. normally will use 200 - 400, 800 depend on situation like no roof to bounce. only use up to 1600 if flash no power... smile.gif

see your signature also know u are a... rich funded person... Not like me still using d40 @.@
I might get my d90 mid 2010, see my PTPTN and angpow and my own savings enough to cover or not.

If i get d90 body, i dunno wan to get tammy or the kit lens. Tammy is great in low light and maybe better bokeh but i wan fast AF @.@
*
from my experience, gears sometimes not declaring the wealther or poor person. some people are willing to sacrifice in other to get their thing. like my frens. in college he willing to eat vegetable only in order to buy D90... sweat.gif

i just got back from kl. i went to nikon bts to try the nikkor 55-200 and 18-105

i tried the 55-200 on my own d40, but for the 18-105 the salesperson told me to juz try the lens on the d90 on display. i noticed the 18-105 kinda focuses faster? is it because of the lens or cuz the d90 got more AF points?

also managed to play with a sigma 18-200. i think i can tolerate the weight la since d40 is very light hehe.
*
fast buy my sigma tongue.gif

@isepunye
Yea I'm planning to do like your friend too, just eat biscuits as breakfast and lunch T.T

I think the main reason for me to upgrade to d90 is because my D40's shutter speed is kinda "slower" than the others, maybe shutter got problem already. The sound is REALLY soft @.@ Not to mention noise control lo..

Oya one more thing, the mount contacts between the body and lens got some prob, sometimes cannot AF or AF already can't capture, need remount the lens. I dont wan to waste a few hundred to check and fix it, i rather save that money and buy 50mm F1.8 or put it in my savings to buy d90.

I might sound like I don't utilize my D40 until the fullest but this is my own experience and opinion lor... I know with the price of d90 body i can buy tammy 1750+ 55-200mm + maybe 50mm F1.8 but... you know.. =D
*
im suspecting ur contact point got some fungus or anything... smile.gif
soft? but i love D40. always borrow my frens D40 + kit lens. its a great camera. love for the size as it small and easy for street, n i personally think that D40 is better then D60 or even D3000. only one thing i dont like is when taking trail light, it tend to be overexposed.. my skill still in noobies level i assume sad.gif

mmm aaa yeahhhh i enjoy kit lens rite now akakakakaka

hahaha good to know that u getting better. me like still the same. no improve sad.gif is it like dat? i found out that others picture using D60 also almost same... the trail tend to be over to me.

450D? i dnt like it. i dnt like the feels of holding it even with battery grip. i also dont like the button. (even D40 also i dont like much the button) prefer D90 button coz many shortcut button that suite my taste tongue.gif

yes, normally i used rubber eraser to clean it up smile.gif just careful when using it

go for nikkor. all rounder lens tend to be soft abit normally. plus at the 80mm and above, u reli need VR or u need super steady hand + high SS

I am using nissin di622, later dunno wan upgrade to sb600 or not. Seems not worthy to upgrade... Should i save for sb900?
*
its awesome to have SB900. plus the flash color abit whiter IMO. easier for me to get better skintone i assume. i tried my friends nissin and the skin tone tend to be a lil redish. it just my opinion la bro. scared my skill not good enuff later i made wrong judgement
